With regard to Claire and Marc Headley, Astra Woodcraft, and Nora Crest being summoned for deposition, they could pull the same argument Scientology used in the Garcia case with regard to Scientology getting to proceed with internal judgement because they're a 'religion.' Those individuals have been declared suppressive persons by the so called church and per those declarations the only person representing Scientology who may communicate with them is Scientology's international justice chief. Therefore, the only person who should be allowed to depose them is the international justice chief. If that individual is not trained as a lawyer that's going to be a problem.

The other tactic is to state, "I refuse to answer that as it is not relevant to the case," or "I refuse to answer that on the grounds that it may incriminate me."

Great idea, that the International Justice Chief is the only one who can represent Scientology at a deposition. It's all about respecting religious customs and agreements, right? So make Scientology follow its own rules and squirm when the one "Chief" bungles the case. Miscavige can't be at the deposition if DM can't "communicate" with the ex-Scientologist, so ANYTHING could happen.

Isn't the "Chief" the go-to guy for grievances about disconnections (but he never answers calls)? Could someone grill HIM about that, while in the room?

Louis Farrakhan: Nation of Islam will stand by Scientology as Leah Remini ‘goes in hard,’Feb. 20, 2017, http://tonyortega.org/2017/02/20/louis- ... s-in-hard/

Hee hee, now the press has a fresh direct Farrakhan quote about the unholy alliance between Nation of Islam and CoS. Farrakhan brings minor-celebrity-shock-value to the story, while Leah Remini brings celebrity sweetness (and potentially good ratings) to the story.

That article had this image.
Image
I'm going to go a little Marshall-McLuhan-medium-is-the-message on that image.
Note that the donors are on the page on the left, while David Miscavige is on the page on the right and the page fold separates him from the donors. I think the message there is that David Miscavige is separate from the others and they do not rate being with him and they are not equal to him. That may not have been overtly intentional. David Miscavige may not even be aware that he's communicating that.

Hee hee - I think the fold helps hide how Miscavige is FORWARD of the godawful trophy, while the Duggans are well behind the line of the trophy. So Miscavige looks taller.

I see that now. I think that was completely intentional. However, if David had been more on the ball he would have set the camera such that the soles of everyone's shoes would line up, eliminating some of the picture's perspective and making him appear even taller by comparison.

I bet David is just itching to get the young lad, third from the left, into the sea org so he can get him punished for being so tall.
