TMZ is reporting that Katie Holmes feared Tom Cruise would try to send their daughter Suri into the Sea Org.

I've heard of hard-core Scilons turning their kids over to the Sea Ogres at an early age -- what with the "greatest good for the greatest number" outweighing their parental instincts, not to mention the money they'll save on education and other expenses, which they can give back to CO$ -- but wouldn't it be odd for such a high-profile public Scilon to do that?

Yes, some hard-core Scilons do turn their kids over to the Sea Ogres at an early age. But none of them is a celebrity. A celebrity giving up his/her child to Sea Org is something unheard of.

On the other hand, a celebrity child could get brainwashed by CoS without actually joining Sea Org. I think that Katie figured out that and decided to protect Suri from harmful influences.

Anne Archer, after re-marrying, let Tommy Davis join the Sea Org. I don't know what Tommy's father would have wanted.

Gay and Al Ribisi’s daughter Gina was in Sea Org; not anymore.

The poster named "Been There" said Tom Cruise’s niece Jaime Lesavoy was in Sea Org, https://whyweprotest.net/community/thre ... ess.62744/ ; she may have left Sea Org since she participated in a video with two other Scientologist young women, Alex Wisner and Taylor Meskimen, http://vimeo.com/28539364 . See 1962 Tom Cruise and his sister Cass, mother of Jamie, on the Scientology Celebrity Spiderweb, viewtopic.php?t=69963 More info is welcome about this.

Mary Shuttleworth, founder of Youth for Human Rights Int'l, let her daughter Tashiana join.

Noted CoS public businessmen, especially those born in the late 1940's to mid-1950's, were quite willing to send off their precious children to Sea Org.
Norman T. Novitsky, founder, Nationwide Title let son Ethan Novitsky join.
Bryan J. Zwan, founder, Digital Lightwave , let daughter Chelsea join.
John W. Woodruff, of Foreclosure Assistance Solutions, let sons Shane and Todd join.
Benjamin R. Kugler founder DV& A, let son Brad join sea org. Brad's out.
Craig Jensen, founder of Diskeeper, let his David, Laurel, and Melissa join. David's out.
Matt Feshbach, Short seller, let daughter Katie join.
Joe Feshbach, Short seller, let Jessica, Melissa and Sarah join.
Isadore Chait, Asian antique dealer, let sons Joey and Jake join. Both are out.

No. Suri being "sent to the Sea Org" at the age of six is ridiculous. While Tommy Davis is a celebrity's child and was recruited into Celebrity Centre, that was when he was an adult.

No, Katie was rescuing Suri from Scientology indoctrination. This was undoubtedly what Tom was pushing for, now that Suri was old enough: Suri in a Scientology school, Suri taking Scientology courses, Suri getting auditing. And, as an inevitable result of all that: Suri disconnecting from Katie.

That's what Katie was saving Suri (and herself) from.

Every person involved with $cientology, except David Miscavige, is a statistic resource. Every person who is a staff member looks on everyone else with a view to how those others can get them their statistic, preferably before next Thursday at two o'clock.

Most people involved in $cientology do not have David Miscavige's personal attention on them. Tom Cruise and those in close association with him certainly do have David Miscavige's personal attention on them. Suri is no exception, neither is Katie. You can be certain that David Miscavige had plans for utilizing Suri.

When people involved in $cientology are utilized, and they are all utilized, benefit to them is almost never part of the plan. Most often if benefit to a person materializes it is incidental and accidental.

Here's my image of how those in $cientology are treated by the organization.
Image
When I was involved in $cientology I always felt like I was being eaten. I couldn't express that until I got out.

I don't know if there was a plan to get Suri into the sea org or not. I am sure that David Miscavige had plans to utilize her. In $cientology the emphasis on all actions is present time. Everything is an emergency and must be signed, sealed, delivered and done NOW! Right NOW!

Image

Sea org recruitment or not I'm sure David Miscavige looked on Suri as $cientology's property. If she remains inside $cientology or if the outcome of the divorce gives $cientology access to her then her future is not bright at all.

True dat ^^^, Wieber.

I think Placido Domingo's son also joined the Sea Org. But like "Just Bill" said, he probably joined as an adult (though I'm not sure of that).

Either way, the thought of your adult kid joining the Sea Org is equally disturbing, if not an even worse proposition. If they're a minor you can refuse permission. If they're an adult, there's nothing you can do. Perhaps Katie is a forward-thinking individual. Perhaps she saw Suri's future of non-stop indoctrination in scientology and then worried Suri might demand to join the Sea Org at some point. What could Katie do in that situation? How could she stop it? She'd be a sitting duck like Nicole was, waiting to be blind sided with divorce papers so Tom could seize control over Suri.

No, Katie was heading off the inevitable by secretly planning and making her move to escape, before it was too late. The girl has balls and brains too.

One revelation from all of this is that everything Tom does is part of a marketing strategy for scientology. Maybe he thought if his kid joined the Sea Org it'd be like a huge endorsement for the Sea Org, Scientology, and especially his BFF, Dave Miscavage (basically, what Wieber said). Did Katie see the writing on the wall, freak out and act accordingly? If so, good on her.

One positive development that came out of the SP declares in our family was that our Sci relative
could no longer get his hooks into the older kids in our family and make goody points for himself in so doing. Following the declares and a lot of reflection I realized that was just what he and his wife were up to. Who knows if he would have been successful.

So if any of you are not Scientologists but have relatives who are and you have kids in their mid to late teens - beware. Are your cultie relatives more interested in your kids than usual? Do they invite them to their homes but not other family? Do they start talking up courses that would improve their GPA? Do they invite them to their local org to meet the young people there? Do they show up with a camcorder for prom night and graduation? Those are all signs.

Then came the declares. Trouble was, most of the family sided with us. There is always a price to pay
somehow, somewhere - for anything.

I sincerely hope that Katie and Suri come through relatively unscathed. I think Katie will win sole custody when the judge gets an earful of what the Sea Org really is - a gateway to human trafficking.
