The 'science' of the TomKat divorce
Quote:
Tom was a controlling husband who wanted Katie to live up to his idea of what a wife and mother should be.

According to US Weekly reporter Jennifer Peros, “Many reports we are hearing is that Tom was very controlling. From everything to the way Katie dressed to the roles that she accepted. Tom wanted to make sure he had a say in everything Katie did. He hired security to constantly keep tabs on her while he was away, he had a Scientologist consultant follow Katie’s every move. She was just fed up with this and wanted to live her life again.”

Katie may have been living with an A-list star but like so many women, she became trapped in an unhappy, unfulfilled marriage where her identity became muddied. She went from feeling sought after by one of the world’s most sought after men to becoming a present day version of a Stepford Wife.

If we look back at the “Oprah” couch-jumping incident in 2005, it is obvious that Tom’s behavior was that of an adolescent in puppy love; not a mature man.

The article illustrates well the fact that Tom Cruise is a little clone of Dave Miscavage.

Other articles I read called their marriage "robotic". Amen to that. Some news outlets have also noted that Katie used disposable cell phones to contact lawyers in three different states, so that the Cruise Camp's minders could not report on Katie's phone calls.

In the end, Katie's "wog" strategy for ending the marriage and saving her child was wildly successful. Many news outlets are praising the couple for ending it quickly and not dragging it out like certain other Hollywood couples. It's almost as if Dave was completely left out of the handling for this TomKat hill 10. Did Tom Cruise and his lawyers purposely leave Dave out of this, so he couldn't screw it up? Will this experience of losing yet another wife eventually help Tom wake up and smell the coffee? Tom wasn't a control freak before scientology and BFF Dave turned him into a lunatic: there was a person there before scientology took over. I hope Tom has a friend or loved one who knew Tom before scientology messed with his head, who might be able to remind him of who he was. Maybe Rona Barrett?

Tom wanted to establish control over the MEST universe, just like Father Hubbard taught. Katie was a part of that universe.

If Katie had said "I'm divorcing you" in front of Tom's family and security guards it wouldn't have been pretty.
