Wow! Those are some detailed similarities.
Given the previous films of P.T. Anderson I almost feel this might be the film he always intended to make.
I was sometimes "smelling a Scientology thing" in his earlier movies too.
Whether it's Boogie Nights, Magnolia or There Will Be Blood, many of his characters are so persistently out of balance, insane and without hope as if they are straight from a Scientology propaganda video that is supposed to instigate fears about the "insanity of a humanity without Scientology"- sometimes I actually found his movies quite provocative and painfully suspended in a continuous lack of acceptable resolutions.
Things just keep on going wrong... salvation denied!

So I am very very very curious how he is going to tackle this topic... it seems like such a perfect fit for him, especially since the real-world resolution is still outstanding in this case as Scientology continues to pull its stunts on the world.
I must admit that I am quite smitten with the trailers already - if they are any indication this is going to be an absolutely amazing film just on the levels of craftsmanship, acting, artistry alone!
Good luck Scientology with trying to make this movie loose at the Oscars 2013
