At the first slightest sign, real, imagined or otherwise, of $cientology's office of special affairs playing any kind of tricks on Katie she should cut Tom right off from any contact with Suri. That cut-off should come with one great big unreasonable R-Factor (reality factor, an explanation why) for Tom.

(Edit) Katie Holmes publicly left the so called Church of $cientology. Per $cientology's policy written by L. Ron Hubbard for $cientology that's a high crime. If they declare her a suppressive person internally they will have to put it in writing on goldenrod. Their policy demands that they do that. They'll do it because they "do what Ron says." Their internal distribution of the document will be limited but I think the odds of it happening as a percentage is in the high nineties. I think it would be funny for them to make such a document for limited distribution and then put them away and forget about them until one day Tom gets his hands on one.

Murphy's law says it will happen and Murphy outranks Hubbard by so many levels they're uncountable.

Scientology has never learned to "let well enough alone." At this point nothing they do is going to exonerate Tom and make him look better. The wife auditioning if nothing else is going to earn him a backlash of contempt. He is emerging more and more as a weak individual who must always be surrounded by supporters. The most contemptible thing is that he can't shake loose of David Miscavige.

There is nothing to discredit. People have the right to file for divorce when marriages fail. The girl wanted out. She wanted to protect her child and for good reason. She owes Scientology and the public no explanation. If they do go after Holmes both the industry and the public will blame it on him. It will finally dawn on his "adoring" public how weak-willed he really is.

Leave it alone, T.C. Leave it alone Scientology. Let well enough alone.

They can't leave it alone. L. Ron Hubbard won't let them. He wrote in his policy letters, "The worst thing to do is nothing."

Katie may have decided that she has the divorce she wanted, she has Suri and she will not be saying or doing anything else against Tom or $cientology. But that's not good enough for $cientology's office of special affairs. They want a signed and witnessed agreement that Katie will not be saying or doing anything else against Tom or $cientology and they will want a significant "or else" in that contract. Even that won't be enough. They will want Katie and Suri watched, reported on and files kept. They have to do that because it's what Ron says.

That's the minimum to expect from them. They may, even now, have some kind of program called Operation Something or Other with objectives to bring Katie under their control and to ensure she doesn't say or do anything against $cientology.

(edit)
In the organization I was a nobody -- bottom of the org board, lowest of the low. After I had been routed off staff, went home and got a job $cientology had at least three people get jobs where I was working so they could spy on me, and I was, I thought, in good standing at the time. I figured out that they had done that after I finally got "out" of $cientology and recovered some objectivity on the organization.

If they go to those lengths with a former body router, what do you think they'll do with Katie Holmes considering how close she was and is to their number one golden boy?

Katie has to stay totally mum about Scientology for twelve more years, until Suri turns 18. Then she can write a BOOK.

If they are stupid enough to start something I am glad that Katie has a full-time attorney who will come to her aid no matter the hour or issue and at no cost - her Dad.

It is still very bad PR for the cult and some new celebs may start getting skittish and start drifting away like LM did. Who's next?

The one who will really come out of this looking like a total jerk is Tom Cruise no matter what they do. So who are they protecting?

This may be what $cientology's office of special affairs (OSA) and management (David Miscavige) fear.

"Oh look! Katie Holmes publicly left $cientology. Maybe I can, too."

I am sure that her dad will have none of this!
