Scientologists barely there at Golden Globes these days.

2017: John Travolta nominated but did not win, for Supporting Actor in a Series...Made for Television, for “The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”, http://variety.com/2016/film/news/golde ... 201938375/
Ex-Scientologist Nicole Kidman nominated but didn't win for Best Actress in Lion.
Sort-of-ex-Scientologist Riley Keough (daughter of sort-of-ex-Scientologist Lisa Marie Presley) was nominated but didn't win Best Actress in a Series... Made for Television, for The Girlfriend Experience.
Travolta stood on stage when “The People v O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” won Best Television Limited Series....Made for Television.
No Scientologist presenters. Presenters included Ex Scientologist Nicole Kidman, and Sofia Vergara, happy ex-girlfriend of Tom Cruise.

2011: Elisabeth Moss nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Drama, Mad Men

2010: No Scientologist nominees. Elisabeth Moss stood with the Mad Men cast when they won best TV drama. Giovanni Ribisi had a minor role in Avatar, but wasn't there when it won best film.

2009: Tom Cruise nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Tropic Thunder . Tom took his mother as date, Image Presumably they sat in the audience.

2008: John Travolta nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Hairspray

2007: Jason Lee nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy, My Name Is Earl . No Scientologist presenters.

2006: Jason Lee nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series - Musical or Comedy, My Name Is Earl. John Travolta presented.

2005: David Carradine nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Kill Bill: Vol. 2 Carradine had 3 earlier Golden Globe Awards in the 70's and 80's but I believe he joined Scientology upon his 2004 marriage to Annie Bierman. Lisa Marie Presley (probably now out of Scientology) presented.

2004: Tom Cruise nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama, The Last Samurai.

2003: No Scientologist nominees.

2002: Leah Remini (now out) presented.

2001: Tom Cruise presented and so did Nicole Kidman.

Soon after the Golden Globes 2001, Cruise divorced Nicole Kidman, and Tom became very crowd-shy, avoiding the red carpet and award audience seating, hiding in the green room if he was to be onstage, and briefly attending restricted after-awards parties. Nicole became an ex-Scientologist, looked divine on the red carpet, mingled happily, won best actress in 2002 and 2003, and was nominated in 2004, 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2017 Golden Globes.

2000: Tom Cruise won for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture, Magnolia. Jenna Elfman nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series - Comedy/Musical, Dharma & Greg

1999: Jenna Elfman won Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series - Comedy/Musical Dharma & Greg. John Travolta nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical, Primary Colors

1998: Jenna Elfman nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series - Comedy/Musical, Dharma & Greg . Kirstie Alley nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a TV-Series - Comedy/Musical, Veronica's Closet.

1997: Tom Cruise won Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical, Jerry Maguire. John Travolta presented the award to Tom Cruise.

1996: John Travolta won Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical, Get Shorty, and in his acceptance speech, thanked L. Ron Hubbard. Nicole Kidman won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Comedy/Musical, To Die For . Anne Archer presented. Tom Cruise attended as usual with nominee Nicole.

1978: John Travolta nominated for Best Actor in a Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical, Saturday Night Fever . Saturday Night Fever was nominated for Best Film - Musical or Comedy, and two other nominations. Travolta had joined Scientology in 1975.

1976: Karen Black nominated for Best Actress, Drama, for The Day of the Locust.

1975: Karen Black won Best Supporting Actress, Motion Picture, for The Great Gatsby.

1971: Karen Black won Best Supporting Actress, Motion Picture, for Five Easy Pieces. Five Easy Pieces was nominated for Best Film. Anne Archer was "Miss Golden Globe," but did not join Scientology until 1975.

The Sci handlers at one of the xmas parades claimed David Carradine was not a sci. Of course, that was after he was found dead in the third world of autoerotic asphyxiation :)

The rumor was that David Carradine and his daughters were quietly in because his last wife was in deep. When David died, his daughters only had the stepmother as "Scientology family," decided that wasn't enough to keep them in, moved far from LA and escaped.
