MSNBC is raking in too much money from the ads the Scilons are running every ten minutes to risk cutting off the revenue stream.

I'm willing to bet "cult month" is going to focus on groups that have disbanded (usually due to dramatic mass suicide/murder, like the Branch Davidians and Jim Jones/People's Temple), the obscure ones that don't have any purchasing power, or big ones like the Moonies that don't buy advertising.

Note that I am not an MSNBC-basher and I watch Keith Olbermann (who hasn't made fun of Tom Cruise or Xenu since the Scilon ads started running) regularly. At least they're TAKING money from the Scilons instead of paying a clam like Greta van Susterin to be on their air, as Fox does.

In It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding) Bob Dylan wrote:

To push fake morals, insult and stare
While money doesn't talk, it swears
Obscenity, who really cares
Propaganda, all is phony.

So, cult month at MSNBC was limited to 3 films on:
Manson
Jonestown
Waco
That's all folks. Thank you for playing.
Clearly they concentrated on cults that came to a messy end. Reason 1) more interesting for your average viewer 2) less groundwork, and finally of course....3) there's nobody left with enough money to sue you.
