The media was at the press conference in force and showed a high level of interest. Mark Bunker did an absolutely superb job as the moderator. The event was emotional at times. One can read the internet, but when you see the people who actually lived the stories talk about it, it is almost overwhelming. It is hard to hear a woman fighting back tears as she speaks about being pressured to abort her first child for the "greatest good" by Scientology. Laura Decrescenzo was only seventeen years old when this happened. She was powerless and was told by Scientology that her baby was only tissue. She was broke, young, lacked a formal education, and was a stat in some production graph. Sea Org grinds women down over several days to force them to have abortions. Sea Org women concede out of fear, poverty, and threats.
Sea Org is all about keeping overworked people fearful, in poverty, and feeling constantly threatened. The descriptions of the razor wire fences, the motion sensors, and 24/7 security guards at Gold become very real when you hear it from the people who lived behind those fences. Mark Headley is correct: Scientology has erected an iron curtain from which Sea Org members must risk everything if they want to escape the inhumanity.
Nancy Many was riveting. If you ever get a chance to see her speak do it. She has such authority and power. What an incredible woman, a survivor who was at the top of GO/OSA and worked for Hubbard. Smart, sharp, savvy: This marked her for destruction as the hands of the sadistic morons who run the Cult.
What I have consistently seen over the years is that DM ruins his best and brightest people just like Hubbard did. Scientology is limited to the vastly impoverished intellectual and emotional horizon of David Miscavige. The Church of Scientology is in its present shape exactly because David Miscavige is incompetent to lead organizations. DM may be feral at intrigue, but he is lousy at actual business management and has no control of his own reactive mind, let alone Anonymous. David Miscavige is a tiny, cruel little money-counter and tyrant.
Will Fry (Willhaven720) spoke. He is intense and on a mission. He was a sales manager in Sea Org for BPI and spoke about how every disaster meant that he and his sales team made sales calls to all Scilons to raise money. Will told me that Aaron Saxton is his hero. Aaron has empowered people like Will. When I met Will today and saw the influence Aaron's YT vids had on him, I could see why the Cult wants to silence Aaron. Anyone who has been in SO and has scammed, lied, or harmed people will have their conscience awakened by exposure to Aaron's reality.
Sea Org kills the conscience of its members. That is one of its secrets. IMO, Scilons like Tom Cruise and David Miscavige have no conscience. They instead have TR's and an unconscionable ruthlessness. The essence of Homo Novis is to have no moral consciousness. To be Homo Novis is to substitute PR, stats, and sadism for morals and justice.
Jeff Hawkins: I can see why he spent so many years at the top. He too is smart, sharp, and savvy. Jeff's Counterfeit Dreams is one of my personal favorites. Jeff is turning his blog into a book and showed the cover art at today's press conference. As you saw on the streaming video, the Cult's lawyers tried to depose him today in Portland to keep him away from Los Angeles. This tactic shows yet again why Ken Moxon is both despicable and a complete failure.
Marc and Claire Headley: Their greatness and strength are an inspiration to more people than they will ever know. Marc has transformed from a guy who blew Gold Base to a confident, self-assured author and activist. Marc and Claire are unafraid and that makes Scientology afraid. BVS was in the audience. The lawsuits are the sword hanging over the Cult's head.
Maureen Bolstad: She is so pure-hearted and someone whom Scientology harmed very badly because it could and because it is run by sadists. Yet she is standing up and talking and unafraid. Maureen is proof that the Cult cannot kill the human spirit.

A few things that stood out to me today:
1. I was vividly reminded again of why everyday people fight this goddamned insane cult: It harms people in ruthless, vicious, inexcusable, and inhumane ways. The Church of Scientology must continue to be systematically dismantled in its present form.
2. Clearing the planet of The Church of Scientology is a moral and praiseworthy action.
3. The media there was hyper-aware of Anonymous. With no disrespect to today's panelists, several reporters were far more interested in Anonymous than in former Sea Org. You have their attention. Make Mega-Raid worthy of its name.
4. The media is extremely interested in all lawsuits against Scientology.
5. The press conference happened five minutes away from Big Blue. Despite the proximity to what is supposed to be one of the largest Class V Orgs on the planet with 100's of OT's, all OSA could scrape up to send over were a few bitter old Scilons. They were lost on that street. They are anachronisms who appeared to be ghosts from 1950.
6. How clueless Scientology remains.
