Here's a secret, guaranteed to be the Real Truth, which may Enlighten the poster currently known as "Sammy".

Actually, Sammy, "chaff" is a term that originally referred to an anti radar mechanism, and had little to do with spies. As a last ditch means to avoid detection by enemy radar, a ship would shoot, from a special cannon, a huge cloud of metal streamers, like tinsel for decorating at Christmas. The presence of this widely dispersed metal cloud created many false images on the enemy radar, permitting the ship that used chaff to escape or avoid being hit.

Probably you meant to use the term "double agent" or "mole". Neither of those are relevant to Speedwell or Don Carlo.

When we all get together I will be pleased to talk with Speedwell and Don Carlo in person and greet them as friends I met on this board.

Hans

CHANGE YOUR LINKS!

If you have created links to this message board using the address www.xenu.net/discus then you must change these to the new address in order to make sure it will continue to work:

discus.xenu.net/discus

(basically just change the "www" to "discus" when linking to the board)

If you don't know how to edit a link/shortcut then just delete it and create it again.

Thank you. :)

to sammy=i have just returned from being away for an extended period of time and missed all this, but i think i remember this rant from may or early june. i have been visiting this site for over 1 year now.i've never been asked for $ for anything. if there is a group here who is trying to get me , an x-scn, to be an 'anti-scn,' or belong to some secret new group, they must not be trying real hard-because i don't know what the hell that you're talking about.i feel if anyone here is a spammer or osa that it must be you. you seem to be giving false allegations here and trying to incite us to distrust some posters who have been cool in my estimation.i don't care to belong to any group again. except pta or soccer moms.i would like to think most people here feel the same.i'm here ONLY because i have family in and to see what' s happening with scn and i can i use any of the info here to understand their brainwashing better or help get them out gently. i know there are others here for the same reason. personally i'd like you to go away or post more data on scn. now and what's happening.thanks, pam

I reckon that Sammy's mental health has been damaged by Fair Game.

Or maybe the O.S.A do have regulars on this board.

Either way he was wrong to attack people the way he did.

I've never been a Scientologist. I happened to be in Amsterdam one day when Xenu was handing out leaflets (I think there must have been a Scientology gathering somewhere). What a bunch of hooey!! And people actually 'buy in' to this malarky!!? I'm no fan of 'regular' religion either, but this cult is outrageous. Shame on all of you who perpetuate such drivel.

Tim Fuller: Hey, people sign up for multi-level marketing every day.

I know several joined $cientology because they came from families that weren't close, or they hadn't read anything about psychology, or they really wanted to save mankind, or they read too much sci-fi and thought maybe, just maybe, they could really raise their IQ, so why not give it a shot? Not knowing about the more subtle forms of hypnosis, they were taken in.

You and I know it's "drivel," but that's only because we had to the tools to see it for what it is, not for what it promises.

Magoo, How many people (or a percentage) at SO would you estimate are making enough serious money at the top that they aren't likely to let the kookie "theology" stop them from staying? Are all the lawyers and security people there for the money, or because they've climbed up that stupid bridge (or bought their way up)?

Freeborn,

Hi! You ask "how many at SO" do you mean how many in the Sea Org (usually known as "SO")? SO people do NOT make serious money, ever. But I am still not sure I get your question> How many people in Scientology (let's say) are making serious enough money to let the kookie "theology" stop them from Staying ...or do you mean leaving? Why would it stop them from staying? They ARE staying? IF you mean leaving,,that might make sense. Well, that is a good question...not many. The only people making lots of money on Scientology are the FSM's and the owners of WISE company's ..using Hubbard's Administrative Tech to milk the general public.
Re the lawyers and security people: Some are not even Scientologists..and are in it for the different reasons. My guess is mostly money.

As for the Scios who are attorneys and security...
the attorneys are in it because of the Bridge, and buying the Bridge to Totaly Freedom. Of course I am sure it is harder to actually break away when you ARE making zillions from people =you get the picture.

As for security, they usually are Sea Org, and they rarely get any auditing or training. They are just suckered into they are a part of the most powerful team on the Planet...blah blah.

But I wanted to say something to you about family and people you love who are in Scientology. Do not think there is nothing you can do. Andreas is a perfect example of that. I have two analogy's for Scientology. One is it is like the Truman Show (and if you haven't seen that, I highly suggestyou rent the movie). The other is it is as if each Scientologist were built of zillions of decks of cards....about as high as the Sears Tower. (If you live outside of America, get the idea of one of the tallest buildings you have ever seen). Ok. EVERY TIME someone does something that makes a dent in The Scio/Truman show...many cards are pulled out. The Huge building still exists, but each and every time, it gets weaker.

Sometimes things happen that I would say remove entire floors. If you go to www.lermanet.com/cos/toryonosa.htm
you can read my story about OSA, which I have to say removed entire floors of my building.
(much of it is here on xenu.net under PErsonal's Tory's story...but I haven't been able to get Andreas the last two and most important parts).

But even though things began falling apart in 1990, they seriously were coming down by last July, when I met Andreas. Did he know that he saying "I believe in truth, I believe in looking at both sides, and I believe in having the courage to stand up for what I believe in",,,would be THE FINAL CARD that once spoken was my final card? Did Andreas know that? OF course not. But it was.

And a few days later...after 30 YEARS in Scientology...I left, forever.

Was it only Andreas? Of course not,,and he was the first person to point that out to me.

But did he dramatically help me leave? Most definitely!!! And I will tell people forever about it, and thank Andreas forever for being such a good friend.

But that is what I wanted to tell you. You never know what bit of kindness might jarr someone loose. Say kind things. Be kind. Remind them of basic things you know they believed in before they got in the cult. Love is one of the most basic things that is missing from all cults. I know Scientologists reading this will laugh and say there is tons of love in Scientology. But the sad fact is, there isn't. It isn't even on Hubbard's Tone SCale! So spread love....and one day, they too will wake up, just as I have.

Meantime, realize this: They love you...and they miss you. So set aside your feelings, and be their friend as I am sure you have been doing. Congrats to you (and all of you here) who are working at spreadiing this truth. As someone who was trapped inside, I can tell you now that I am out...I knew virtually nothing. They had me completly snowed. Your work you do..every bit of it,,,is VERY VERY VERYYYYYYY important. Please continue :) :) :) :) :)

I hope that helps some.

Love to you all!

Tory/Magoo~dancing in the moonlight!

Magoo: Sorry if I wasn't too clear. I thought Sea Org was the elite, at the top, doing all the governing, making all the decisions. What I envisioned was someone like David Miscarriage, raking in lots of money, without caring two figs about the kookie theology. Such a person would not be fazed by inconsistencies, hypocrisy, or corruption, as long as he got his hefty salary. I assumed lawyers and goons were probably not $cientologists, but I wonder how many of the peons could "work their way up" to making lots of money, once they figured out they could trust him with their dirty little secrets.

Freeborn= You are right about DM, but not the Sea Org. Many of the Sea Org are very good and dedicated people who are the worker bees. Some make it into exec positions, but not most.

Most hold A post and work hard at helping people. They believe in Clearing the Planet, they believe in helping mankind, and they have no idea of what you all know from reading Xenu.net. The percentage that creates all this hassle is very small actually. If you read my OSA 101 series (all is at www.lermanet.com/cos/toryonosa.htm) you will see it is this small Mafia within the group and they are sworn and bonded not to tell ANYONE.

Pam...Ok...re 1990...I am not sure what occurred with your family member. For me, I got onto OT 7 that year, and although I had spent my life trying to get up to this high level, when I did I was very disappointed. That was the beginning of the end for me.
Was this person ON OT 7?

I am not sure what the situation was for them ...but if they had gotten into "ethics trouble" that can be a long road to nowhere.

Please don't feel like "it is too late to do anything" (unless they are one of the many who died, which I hope is not the case)....there is always something you can do. See my above post re more info re that.

My best!

Tory/Magoo~still dancin~

Dear sir,

I have found your site very interesting and informative about Scientiology. Only previous knowledge was from a magazine article back in 1993, and I thought the CLAMBAKES funny. I am checking out all sorts of philosophies and the impacts they have on people psychologically and emotionally, and the way they purport to change the world.

I would like to get into that book about L. Ron Hubbard called Bare-Faced Liar or something like that. Only it is a little difficult to download the file. Also read some Lisa McPherson essays for the competition.
