Good work

Stumbled on this page while wondering why Cruise has gone bonkers recently and I can see now my suspicions are confirmed. Brain washing is still effective today as it was in medieval times. This is a great site and the author is to be congratulated. Science provides hope, Religon provides faith when hope is gone.
And for crying out loud, I DID NOT HAVE PAST LIVES AND I AM NOT A BLOODY ALIEN FROM THE PLANET STARK-RAVING-MAD. Scientologists have gone tits first into the realm of the permantly baffled, completely lost touch with reality, have no money in their bank accounts, and without even a hangover to deal with! Hubbard was a failed sci fi writer who in his own words said that the best way to make money was to start a religon. As long as you can get a steady supply of suckers to beleive you..........

Just wanted to introduce myself. I linked to OCMB through God only knows what site. It was a daisy chain of links! Great message board. I'll try to post my little tiny Scientology experience in the proper section. I'm just stunned by so much that I've read on other sites.

Anyway, see ya around! :D

The story of Xenu wasn't even good science fiction.
And they call themselves scientific? Airplanes can't fly in space.
I'm gonna start my own religon called Starwarsology where we believe there is an all powerful force in the universe, and people can become Jedi and such by paying large sums of money to me.

Ten Years

Lisa McPherson died ten years ago today, at the hands of fellow followers that were sure they were doing the right thing.

May we never forget.

Thank-you for all this great information. Scientology is a cult that must be wiped off the face of this earth, taking all the nut-jobs with it.

Basic BASIC Scientology Info

A few weeks ago, a buddy showed me a coloring book type of thing, maybe 20 pages or so, set up in a very "child-friendly" format but (I believe) aimed at adults (in one of those "fractured fairy tale" formats). I would love to find a copy of that book. They assured me they found and downloaded it offline, but nowhere can I locate it. If someone could helpo me out I'd sure appreciate it!

Simple Observation from a commoner

Post by 451man » Sun Dec 18, 2005 4:04 am

Hi,

I have heard of the Church of Scientology before but have never been thru the doors of one of their establishments. Needless to say, my desire to go thru them again has vanished faster than a dollar bill in NYC. Its ashame too because there appears to be a lot within the philosophy of Dianetics which is both relevant and helpful to furthering ones purpose in life and well being.

I hate to say it but I did feel like I was walking into a cult of some sorts.

I walked in to one of these 'free' seminars at the center in new york city. I was impressed by the cleanliness and decoration of the facility. I was 15 minutes ahead of schedule so decided to walk around the place. There were probably 30 or so people hanging around before the seminar and it seemed that most of the people new each other ('OK - so everyone knows each other, there is nothing wrong with that. They believe in this stuff. Thats great). I was then encountered by one of the reps who was walking around and greeting herself. She asked who I was and why I was here. I told her it was my first time and like the ears of cat when it hears something around the corner, she immediately broiught me over to the sign up table to take down all my information. I said thank you and then I walked away. As I awaited for the show I walked past a trio of representatives who introduced themselves to me and asked why I was here. Immediately the cat ears went up and one of them escorted me over to film room and invited me in to watch a 15 minute show on an introduction to the church. 'But wait a minute, I'm here to see the show. Can't I see the show?' I said. 'Well yes' the gentleman said 'but its best that you see this film first and then spend 15 minutes with me afterwards, then you can see the show'. 'Fine' I said (I was curious to see where this was going). It was strange and a bit uncomfortable. There seemed to be this glazed over trance on the faces of these people. It was a bit comedic and uneasy. Anyways I wantched the film. About two thirds the way thru I realized that I had to go to the bathroom. I left the room and hurriedly searched for a bathroom. As I was attempting to open a door that I thought was the bathroom, I heard a ladys voice. It was one of the trio. 'Where are you going', 'Are you trying to find the exit'. The tone of her voice was if she thought I discovered some dark secret and was to trying to escape to tell the world. 'No, I need to a find a bathroom'. 'Oh, its down the hall on your left' . I ran to the bathroom and did my business. As I was on the pot, I heard someone attempting to open the door. I didnt say anyhting for it was locked and thought the person would get the picture. 10 seconds later, I heard the door knob jostle again. 'I'm in the bathroom' as I flushed the toilet. A moment later and saw one of the trio walking down the hall. My radar went up again. It was if they were panicking and they wanted to make sure that I wasn't trying to escape. I caught the guy and told him I was ready for my one on one. The man starts asking me about my life and what it is that I want to change in my life (My god, I came to hear seminar not get psychoanlayzed). Anyways I went along with it and just as we were wrapping up and he say's to me 'before you go to the show, are you on any psychiatric drug?' I am. I hesitated not because I cared what he thought but because I knew enough about their opposition to the subject that I didn't want to go their. Well, I did. It was as if the place went into code red. Immediately he takes me over to another section of the center and introduces me to package of materials (tapes, cds, books). 'You are not ready to amke that decision' (What decision I say to myself but knowing what he really meant - joining the church). 'This package will help you off the drugs and it is on sale'. Coincendentally, Another person happens upon to tell me what a difference the matrials made for him. This was bordering creepy. As I was walking away another lady who overheard the conversation asked me why I was on the medication. I gave her my explanation. To which, she replied 'All people who are on pysch meds want death'. 'Do you want death' she says. I went into a discussion for quite some time with this lady to understand her beliefs.

I am not about to judge everyone who practices and belongs to the church of scientology, but it was 'clear' to me the people who I met who were represenatives of the church were so saturated in its teachings that they seem to lose touch with their true selves. The very practice they preach, they did not follow. I guess their 'reactive' mind took over. Anyhow I have said enough. My experience their was quite uncomfortable. Kool-Aid anyone

Dear 451man, thank you for sharing your experience. I have read it with interest and I think you have a very good sense about people and situations, which will prevent you from being captured by the cult.
Medication is not bad, if prescribed painstickingly by a good and responsible doctor.
Of course there are other ways to treat certain problems, especially psychical ones. Many good properly educated (degree from university) psychologists can help by doing an "Tiefenanalyse" (deep analysis, the Freudian school) and it has developed since Freud. I know people who had the very best results after doing an analysis the way which is called the "Classical Viennese School of Psychology". The treatment lasts for a long period, even years, but is incredible effective. Let the doctor show you his/her degree, his/her post-university educations, or get information about the diverse schools of analysis: Governmental offices, consumers rights offices, official citizen help hotlines, hospitals, the doctor around the corner, they all can advise you with it. And then you can decide which will be the best. There are several schools, all very good, but not all fit to everybody.
All the best
.Lily.

Greetings From Intergalactic Prison on Rigel 4

Post by LORD_XENU » Sun Jan 01, 2006 9:31 am

Um, hi. Most of you know me, or at least know about me.
To those of you who don't, or to whom my memory was simply lost
to time, please be so gracious so as to allow me to introduce myself.
It is I, Lord Xenu: Ruler of the Intergalacticon Gyroblorg Confederacy (IGC).
I have been confined in Intergalactic Prison for a grand total of, I
believe, 75 million years on a week from next Tuesday. However, these materialistic shackles have yet to break my will. It will take more than
an orbital Hyperlok Prisonification Unit to confine THE MIGHTY LORD XENU!
DO YOU HEAR ME, PITIFUL INHABITANTS OF TEEGEEACK?!!!?
Whether it be a matter of 1 or 1,000,000 of your illogical Teegeeack years, : LORD XENU will ESCAPE the confines to which you have sentenced me! The Loyal Officers shall have their bodily fluids drained and fed to them, and forever rot and BURN in the pit of the SIX-EYED MANSWALLOWER OF NEPTUNE!!! DO YOU HEAR ME, CITIZENS OF TEEGEEACK?!?!!? LORD XENU WILL BE FREEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!
FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
