Yes... and can do so BECAUSE of the ignorance of people. After all... it just sounds soooo scientific and seems to have the answers to the spiritual desires of most people. After all... it read on the e-meter so it must have happened and must be true... RIGHT?

"If what I can write, does not in some way serve to expose scientology, help an Eric Hoffer "True Believer" in Scientology escape from David Miscavige's 'Lord of the Flies' funhouse for sociopaths OR ASSIST someone who has, then it usually doesn't get written."

"Nothing which is observed is unaffected by the observer".

This is why psych researchers use double-blind testing AND don't put any personal experiences into the studies.

Hubbard said that for a being to be sane he must be able to reach and withdaw.

You can't withdraw from Scientology.
You can't withdraw from any Orgs' mailing list.
You can't withdraw from the Sea Org.
In 3 1/2 years in the Sea Org I was never granted my 3 weeks leave.
You can't be away from auditing or training or you may be forced to buy a 121/2 hour confessional because it is not okay to withdraw. If you don't believe it try it. You will not be able to be sane in Scientology no matter how much auditing you buy. Sorry!!

Good post, Sea Ogre. Truly.Makes me recall times when I had to ask permission (!) to not sign up for my next service right away.

Actually, makes me recall a lot of things, mostly negative.
