When I graduated the Narconon program I had a pretty nice little speech prepared because I met many nice people, and many on the staff were truly good people( the ones who hadn't been fully inculcated)...so I had very nice things to say. With the possible exception of the closing. Every graduation was closed with a quote from LRH; prefaced by the phrase " The following is a quote from L. Ron Hubbard, the founder of the technology we use here at Narconon."
So I was going to say "the following is a quote from God, the creator of everything, including the founder of the technology we use here at Narconon. This comes from the Book of Exodus, chapter twenty, verse three:Thou shalt have no other gods before me......."

ok I chickened out but it would have been cool

If there were just ONE of those Gods on Earth like Hitler promised his
supporters, And L Rum Hubbard promised his rubes...
There would be more to scientology that just a psychotic dwarf
and his small clan of sociopaths...

The Girl From Yesterday
- The Eagles

It wasn't really sad the way they said good-bye
Or maybe it just hurt so bad she couldn't cry.
He packed his things, walked out the door and drove away
And she became the girl from yesterday.

He took a plane across the sea
To some foreign land.
She stayed at home and tried so hard to understand.
How someone who had been so close could be so far away
And she became the girl from yesterday.

She doesn't know what's right;
She doesn't know what's wrong.
She only knows the pain that comes from waiting for so long.
And she doesn't count the teardrops
That she's cried while he's away.
Because she knows deep in her heart
That he'll be back someday.

The light's on in the window; she's waiting by the phone
Talking to a memory that's never coming home.
She dreams of his returning and the things that he might say.
But she'll always be the girl from yesterday.
Yeh, she'll always be the girl from yesterday.

The opposite of the religious fanatic is not the fanatical atheist but the gentle cynic who cares not whether there is a god or not.

"The pen is mightier than the sword"

Very true Arnie, and your site is very informative,
and I would hope that the lurkers out there check
it out, and make their own decisions based on
their own observations and decisions, and not be
a sheep of the cult, mindless, and totally controlled,
on what to think, say, behave.
Self determinism is just that, being able to look at
both sides and making a rational decision.
Unfortunately many sheep that enter the pen of the
cult, do not come out unscathed.
Many lives are ruined and it is needless. If only people
would continue to think for themselves, and not led
around the pen of the cult, only to be slaughtered at the
whims of the idiot keepers of the tech.

Most new ex members marvel at things like...
walking to the corner store, and sleeping in a bed,
taking a long hot bath by candlelight...
watching a movie on TV, and sleeping 8 hours,
on a full stomach.

A person after finding he has been lied to BY Scientology
should either walk away and get on with his life
-OR- take arms against a sea of troubles (scientology) and by actively
acting in opposition to Scientology, help to
END THEM.
But that is an individual choice.

IMO the best freedom available in relation to Scientology is freedom from both LRH and Scientology.

What do you get when you cross a Buddhist and a Druid?

Someone who worships the tree that is not there.

Seaside,
Tee-hee. :)

What do you get when you cross a pit bull and a collie?

A dog that chews your leg off and then runs for help!

To me that might be backwards.

A society without religion is like a chainsaw without a maniac.

The only 'survival' Scientology is about is the survival of Scientology.
The only people who consider it valuable, are those *trained* to
consider it valuable.
