Hubbard had his Navy horror, and learned that the only thing stronger
than bullshit was massive structure, and as a result, Hubbard the
rational and rationalizing megalomaniac decided *not* to 'fight the
power', but to create His own. With Himself at the helm. With all rules written by him. With 'by the Book' *anything* He said. Scientology is L. Ron Hubbard's revenge on the Navy and the society that allowed it to humiliate Him.

Hubbard invented hundreds of self-contradictory 'mandates' and 'rules'
and policies *deliberately* to allow Himself to do anything he wanted,
while maintaining the illusion of some omnipresent all applicable
'system'. Listening to Scientologists arguing the vagaries of 'policy'
is hilarious; especially considering that, had any of them dared to
argue policy with Elron Himself, he would have been the witness to the
birth of yet *another* policy that, strangely enough, would allow
Hubbard to do *any damn thing He wanted*.
As a bonus; Hubbard's plethora of competing 'rules' allows Him or his
heirs to declare *anyone* they choose guilty of any crime they wish,
anytime, limited only by their own 'elevation' (in Hubbard's case;
ultimate elevation)

The Scientology way to answer sticky questions is to concoct a lie, then repeat it over, and over, and over until it sticks, that is, until people get tired of correcting it. If the lie is definitively proven a lie, the tactic is to sit back, and when the question comes up again, tell the same lie again.

Oh, the mind-corruption of "true is what's true for you." An evil
concept central to the scam. It allows a mere "I've never seen it" to
disprove things, and a mere "it works for me" to prove them. Which, of
course, is the insidious purpose.

Thank you Hubbards' Mushroom for the best quotes.

These are all very helpful and essential in the process of deprogramming.

I especially loved the last one - "I came to the conclusion that as Scientologist I was lazy..."
I started to see this and could not handle one more
person saying - "well read this reference..."

thank you!

> Do you think scientology is a religion?

Answer: NO it is not...and never was!!! It's a for-profit alternative
mental health practice masquerading as a [church.] A deceptive
paranoid self-help sect at it's best, and at it's worst, a dangerous
cult steeped in evil and secrecy employing 3rd Reich "Tech."

Along with the 'You Can't Seeeeee Meeee...' invisibility Tech, the 'I Can't Heeeear Youuuuuu...' Tech remains at the pinnacle of Scientology Super Power accomplishment.

I'm sure that the Scieno-Stare® would have made me spontaneously combust many times if I hadn't been counteracting it with Happy Premise #3.

Happy premise #1: There are no aliens.
Happy premise #2: There is no giant foot trying to squash me.
Happy premise #3: Even though I feel like I might ignite, I probably won't.

Why, if Scientology <tm> improves family relationships,
was Hubbard a married-three-times bigamist who disowned one of his
daughters and drove one son to suicide?

Scientologists seem to leave when they're ready, for their own reasons,
and only as the continued failure of the Cult to deliver on the goods do
they begin to see the 'criticism' as anything more than evidence of the
paranoid world view Hubbard implanted in them.

One trait most Scientologists share is a strong need for a world in which every question has an answer--an answer that *they can know*. It's a sort of black-and-white mindset--one that doesn't easily tolerate ambiguity.

If you ever observe a conversation between Scientologists on *any* subject at all, absolutely every facet of human behaviour is 'explained' in terms of Hubspeak - eg low toned, overts, Missed W/Hs, ARC Breaks, BPC, out-dynamics etc, and of course the catch-all SP 'Who' who must be around somewhere. They are totally convinced that Ron had all the answers, literally. To give up this certainty and re-enter the real world of unknowns and questions and doubts just doesn't have any appeal.

The problem is to find the indoctrination and what is your own
original thoughts. I found that the symptom in me was when I got very
upset about something without any real reason. Then I started to take
a deep look at why I had become so angry and this way could I find and
deal with the indoctrination behind it.

Over a period of time it became obvious that whoever was at the top of the pyramid was really screwing things up, that LRH was the biggest SP Scn ever had.
