"What about the former members that are now critics?
What about the ones who reached OT 8, and now say
it's all a load of crap? I would think they would
know if it is works or not." - Draft

"Capt. Bill I think went over the edge into
paranoia almost as badly as LRH, and he died
of cancer some years back, from a grapefruit-sized
tumor on his neck. So he didn't escape
his case with all the tech, either." Ed

"Western society cannot permit Scientology to conduct "business as usual" as it has done since 1950 when "business as usual" includes Scientology destroying its enemies, former members, commiting crimes, lying, theft, and all manner of inexcusable conduct." - J. Swift

"You mean that the Xenu tale is no soap opera? That an
archeologist can dig in Hawaii or Las Palmas and find the remains of the
original thetan packaging stations? " - beldar_dragon

"So Body Thetans *do* exist. That means that they are the cause of
various illnesses and you exorcise them following the 'secret' OT
procedures available everywhere. (giggle) So it also must be true that
an OT can *really* fry a cockroach with the power of his mind but only
when no one else is looking?" - beldar_dragon

"At the end of 1996 I was subjected to [a] horrible kind of "religious
deprogramming" in the Scientology "Fort Harrison Hotel". This was done,
using an "E-meter", by a top official of the "Religious technology Center"
(RTC) namely Mr. Marty Rathbun. I was interrogated for several hours on
the most intimate personal religious beliefs (Christian) and his actions
were designed clearly to get me to give up my Christian religious beliefs
in exchange for RTC's "eligibility authorization" to read a confidential
publication about a defective "OT level" I had previously completed (OT
7). His utter contempt for my religious beliefs were all to apparent. He
felt that all other religions apart from Scientology should be destroyed
and probably would be in time by Scientology, using RTC's programs
of "eligibility's" as the means of forcing people to give up other faiths."

"The Scientology crooks keep much of their bait-and-switch
frauds secret from their marks until, as you know, they
become so brainwashed and into the cult for so much money
that they're ready to swallow even the most obvious scams (like
OT3.) " - Fredric L. Rice

"OK. So the sacred scripture of Mr. Hubbard is perfectly and
exactly in sync with what you've said, and everything you've
said is perfectly and exactly in sync with the scripture, and
in fact none of it was originated by you at all. You are missing
from this thread. You have not participated in this thread.
You are gone." - Mike O'Connor

"Please don't insult people of a spiritual nature by equating
spirituality with the largely plagairized pseudo-scientific claptrap
of life-long liar, bigamist, kidnapper, bad writer, worse musician,
wartime liability, occult dilletante, and all-around criminal,
charlatan L. Ron Hubbard." - NTheta

"Hubbard hated perfumes and ordered his sea org slaves
not to wear perfumeor use scented deodorants aboard
his sea org ship Apollo. He hated laundry soap, and his
sea org slaves rinsed his clothes several times to make
sure no scent of laundry soap remained. Yet Hubbard
yelled and ranted. They rinsed more. Hubbard ranted
about the hated smell. So they washed his clothes
WITHOUT soap and rinsed several times. Hubbard ranted.
No soap but he 'smelled' it.

Crazy as a shit house rat he was, and twice as ugly.
Hubbard wrote in some Hubbard tape that smells were inventions
of degraded thetan enslavers to implant ridges in thetans and
control them by stimulating those ridges with smells.
Poor Ron, stimulated by non-existant laundry soap."

"What is unusual is that Hubbard never had anything bad to
say about the smell of stake tobacco. Or the menthol in
his beloved Kools. Ron aboard Apollo was a heavy user
of drugs. Such imaginary smells are not unknown from
those suffering drug psychosis from amphetamines or cocaine.
Hubbard at one point had to be pulled off board by his personal
phycisian and dried out because his drug use seriously threatened
his health." - Cheerful Charlie

When I do good, I feel good; when I do bad, I feel bad, and that is my religion.
Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865), (attributed)
