I have to conclude that you either enjoy the attention and controversy, or just don't get it.

May I ask just what you think she doesn't get? Again, agree or disagee she has the right to post how she feels here. I really don't care so much about what TD thinks, thats where they hang out and what they say and do in TD is there business. Just as what Tory does here is hers.

Each of us thinks and feels in different ways. Who are we to tell someone to get over it and let go. She will when she is ready. If TD is going to have a problem with it then its just that. Their problem and maybe they should just learn to ingore her.

No one suggests she has no right to post, but they are likely questioning the wisdom and efficacy of doing so. After all, who was it that posted, "MOVE ON"? Hmm... (scratching head).

Then silence fell. And one could hear a pin drop over here on the subject. It was done.

But of course... Tory couldn't help going over to lurk in TD and see what was being said (they saw what she did thar), then fled over here to complain about it to supposed adoring fans.

Again, mostly silence. And I shall retreat back into it.

It's not just in the TD, it's still going on as some like to slip it into posts for some reason or the next.

Maybe I'm just not saying this right, God knows I'm not perfect in the way I express myself sometimes.

Yes I am with Tory on this matter. I made my decision based on what facts I saw and the trust level of those involed. You don't have to agree with me but please respect my decision as I do yours.

But even if I thought you were right I would feel the same way about Tory posting. Just as I have never told any who disagrees with her not to post. So she's having a hard time moving on. I wish she could also but I can also understand why it's so hard for her.

Just as I can understand how MPB felt at that picket.

Tory is a very good person who in the span of a few weeks was trashed in a way worse than scientology has been able to do in ten years. And yes it will hurt this cause in the long run.

I can see where this can and does remind her of just what scientology did to her when she left.

And part of the probem is everytime she posts some people just can't wait to copy the post and run somewhere else with it. That's on them, not Tory.

It will end when it ends, right or wrong in how she feels I will defend her right to post what she feels. Just as I would yours.

You know what a lazy NG person I am, so it will prolly come as no surprise that I haven't seen, or read whatever it is that people are down-doing you for. My impression is that you walked into something sort of like a virtual mosh pit and got threatened, and Tommy ( to me a brash young man) jumped to your defense. That's all I want to know about "it".
As far as I am concerned, you can count on me to always be o"on your dside". When I think of the stress that you live under, I am not surprised that you would say or do something that does not please everyone. Particularly those who are just waiting for a fight, or waiting to discredit.

I know it's summer, but still...

I feel for Tory cuz I know how upsetting some of this online stuff can be and I'd have freaked out too if I thought I was being threatened in some really scary way like she did. And whether she was actually threatened or not has nothing to do with my point which is that Tory took it that way and I don't see any value in not respecting that. The only question/concern I have is how many times are we gonna have to do this respecting? I mean, I'm not even here that much and I'm already so tired of this topic I could nash my teeth down to stubs. And I wasn't gonna add to it but it brought up something else that's been bugging me.

I've been working for a long time on getting through Hubbard's drivel to help undress Scientology on this site. Folks, including Tory, remind us repeatedly that that is what this site is for. So, it's particularly annoying when I make an effort to contribute a thread to respect those reminders but it gets practically ignored (especially by folks who did the above-mentioned reminding!). And it's not like I think my thread is the shit but I'm positive that far more good, educational exchanges could've taken place there if given half a chance. Drama's more exciting though...I know.

Personally, I don't think that the overall cause is affected by threads/problems like this one. Maybe in the short term it is but not in the long term. Still, it does turn people off from this board, I'm sure (cuz it does me) who might have learned something valuable here if not for the distraction of threads/problems like this one.

P.S. Is 1:30 p.m. too early to start drinking?
