Folsom Mission

Post by meade_emory » Sun Oct 03, 2004 6:42 pm

About a year or two ago a mission opened in Folsom, CA, (yeah the city with the prison, outside Sacramento). The "celebrity" sponsor of this was ex-Playboy model and Walton actress, Judy Norton-Taylor.

It is located off the street in the historic old downtown, but the building does not face out toward the street. It butts up to another building that faces out onto the main street. You can only see the mission from the back parking lot.

It's two stories in a small wooden building, I'd say about 25' wide by 40' deep. Inside it has some decent looking mission style furniture and the obiligatory bookcase of basic stuff. I'd go in but it's not as easy as it sounds. Why you ask? On a 8.5x11 piece of paper are the hours they are open,

Mon, Wed. Fri 6:30pm-10pm
Sat 10-6
Sun, Sunday Service 10am

There is a phone number to call if you are there during closed times.

Does this sound like the type of place delivering real solutions to a troubled world?

Once the SO Mission is done wrecking what's left of Wichita, they should make a stop in Folsom and root out the SP's running amok here.

Meade, SO mission seemed to be on a totally different "mission" when they left the mission, instead of helping it, they supposedly got their few remaining staff members to join the SO.

That leaves the wichita mission with even less people.

YEAH!!!

Well the Sea Borg is always having to sucker new marks into signing 1x10^9 year contracts. The turnover rate for SO is so high that it is almost a certainty that anyone joining will be gone within a few years, usually within a few months. Those few poor pathetic souls who stick around only do so because they're either completely delusional or would be living on the street and eating out of dumpsters otherwise.

Scientology, a strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Folsom Mission is closed

Wandered by the mission the other day and it's gone. Space is up for lease. doubt it relocated. I'm guessing the MH got sick and tired of pumping cash in this loser month after month.

Obviously they didn't apply the right condition, do the correct surveys, send out enough letters, find the right why, find their MU's, discover the SP, (fill in the blank)...

Maybe the congregation/students realised people in Folsom PRISON are freer than people in Folsom Mission.

(Great. Now I have that song in my head. Well, it's better than that Scientology album from some years back!)

So in a matter of six years, the most rapidly expanding cult on a planet went from having a mission with limited hours to no mission at all. Maybe they closed because the planet is clear and they havent told us yet.

:alien: Sometimes an evil Marcabian songwriter implant takes over my analytical mind. Then things like this just happen. Don't blame me, Johnnie Cash-fans, it was the alien who did it.....

When I read the intro about Folsom Mission the implant took over. I got back to my senses after some hours and saw this on my screen....
FOLSOM MISSION BLUES

I hear the train a comin'
It's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,
Since, I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom Mission,
And time keeps draggin' on,
But that train keeps a-rollin',
On down to San Antone.

When I was just a baby,
My Mama told me, "Son,
Always be a good boy,
Don't ever play with Ron,"
But I took a test in Reno,
Just gave it a try,
When I hear that whistle blowin',
I hang my head and cry.

If I get my ethics straightened
Then the auditor will see
That it's just some bloody engrams,
I just need a course or three
But I'm maxed out on my credit
I'll never be OT
All those damn enturbulations,
They're what's torturing me.

When the RPF has cured me,
And I finally get rich
I bet I'd move a whole lot
faster up along the bridge,
Far from Folsom Mission,
That's where I want to stay,
I wanna be with Dave and Tommy,
If only I could pay...
Copyright of the original song belongs to the immortal Johnnie Cash (What's in a name?)

Copyright of this parody probably belongs to the Marcabian Union of Evil Songwriters. Sekh

Sekh, you and RedPill simply MUST get together and start your own PTS parody band! Don't let geography get in the way, either -- there's always Skype! \:D/

Just spotted this marvellous parody which you have penned, Sekh. :proud:

Nowadays, I tend to do any singing out of earshot of friends and loved ones.

I reckon this will become my favourite, whilst crooning in the bath, once I have perfected Johnny Cash's gravelly voice.
