Scientology SF Bay Area

On 9/23/06, my sister and I met for tea and then set off to take pictures of Orgs and Missions in the area.

Our first stop was Stevens Creek Org (an ideal org) which is located on Lundy right in the middle of tech firms. This building is approx 60,000 sq feet and looks like a mausoleum.

Stevens Creek Org's front door does not face the street and there is no sidewalk. No pedestrian traffic and since it was a Saturday, no car traffic either.

This looks like an old float used in the past, just sitting in the parking lot:

Picture of the parking lot, approx 70 cars this day:

Our next stop, Los Gatos Org. I was not able to take a picture of their front door which does not face the street (Saratoga Ave). This is also an "ideal org"

There were approx 14 cars in the lot. It is a nice looking spanish style building. There is heavy car traffic but no foot traffic.

Back side of building:

Mt View Org "ideal org".

There were approx 28 cars this afternoon. It is set in a residential area, no traffic and no foot traffic. Front door is not facing street (Easy St).

Next is Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center. This is also in Mt View about 5 minutes away from Mt View Org . This is located on Castro St, which is nice looking downtown with tons of foot traffic . This center is located next to a restaurant. People that go to this center are then body routed to Mt View Org. When we arrived there was girl outside handing out fliers. She had some major cleavage going on, sorry guys I was not quick enough with the camera.

Last stop San Jose Mission. Located on Winchester Blvd, busy street, no foot traffic. Tiny building, closed on Saturday afternoons:

Glad to know someone from my home town is watching the Scn's too. Good work, keep it up, let us know what's happening. And if they come to Benicia, I'll be more than happy to do anything I can to help get rid of them. Or at least present the rest of the story to anyone considering their "org".

Have a nice day,

:-)

Mountain View Org

I was involved with the MV org again for about 6 weeks, but prior to that I had been on staff there and on lines from 1990 to 1998.

In PT there are 86 staff, and people point to this and the constant quest for larger and more "upstat" space as proof of expansion. Per LRH policy that half the org income should come from training (meaning Academy levels), and that the price of a major course should be roughly equal to one month of lower middle class wage, and the realistic financial requirements of supporting 86 staff, we should expect to see about 100 students on course at any given time.

What I consistently observed is maybe 5 to 7 bodies in the academy, with most on "Basics". Maybe 2 or 3 on academy levels -- supposedly the very future of Scientology.

The org seems to be supported almost entirely by the HGC. The parking lot is indeed full -- mostly with staff cars! Can anyone think of a more important stat than the number of students on Academy Levels in the academy? Why has this not changed in 18 years? Lots more MEST, pushy events, pushy reges, yada, yada, yada but not much actual product.

Shall we compare this to Rons Org Frankfurt? When I visited, there were 6 to 8 students on course on the weekdays, and more like 15 on the weekends. More importantly, everyone really wanted to be there and they were having a great time. And if you don't show up for course, that's your business. You want to do an ethics cycle? Fine if you want to, fine if you feel you don't need it. Write a success story? Sure, if you want. If you don't feel like it, no problem either.

Are you guys on your own, or as part of Anonymous?

(I've been checking "Picket Central" for protests in the Bay Area, and I keep missing them.)

Also, keep an eye out on the http://www.whyweprotest.net IRL (in real life) Activism sections of their board. Here's a shortcut to that section....
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/307-irl-activism/
The "Flash Raids" subforum is for short notice small protest arrangements and reports for all areas and the "Global Protest Planning" is for more organised planning and divided into geographic area subforums.
