There are several million stories in the naked city of the lost angels. Lucretia's is just one of them.

Quite a few years ago, I was very briefly a "special police officer" there - the same sort as Old Man Elron was - but I didn't keep my LAPD card, dammit. Anyway, my duties had me abroad in Hollywood at odd hours, and I won't be forgetting the first time I encountered this phenomenon: It is just before dawn, and jocund day stands tiptoe on the misty hilltop emblazoned with that big white "H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D" sign. I am headed in the general direction of some coffee, when I hear what sounds to be a profane argument approaching.

Out of the shadows emerges a figure pushing a pram, and as it draws closer I see it is a woman. She appears to be inflicting a "death stare" upon the unfortunate little occupant of the baby carriage, is quite agitated, and is hurling loud, angry invective at it.

"Oh, Lord," I think. "Please dont let her think I'm a real cop! I don't want to get involved with whatever's happening there..."

The woman draws abeam and passes, her tirade unabated. The doppler effect fades with her withdrawal back into the shadows down the street.

But I did get a glimpse into the baby carriage as it went by.

It was mentioned earlier on this thread that the scieno actors simply follow the script and don't imput anything themselves.
However, I used to work at Celebtity Center International some years ago and know for a fact that the celebs at CC were strongly encouraged to talk the scriptwriters into putting LRH sayings into the storylines. Sort of like subliminal advertising.
Now and again at musters the CO CC Int (David Petit)would talk about how a particular actor had put some of Ron's words into a script to be broadcast.
I can't remember all the exact incidences because I was in a somewhat zombified state at the time.
Im the film Magnolia, Tom Cruise plays a sex therapist. He says his sex therapy is designed to "unlock the female analytical mind". A Dianetics reference, if ever I heard one.

I'd just as soon keep my "female analytical mind" securely locked, if you don't mind.

Freebeing, that story about Celeb Center was a scream made me realize ones again how good it is to be out and not having to listen to all this stupid crap PR at staff musters, Wow.. "unlock the female analytical mind" eh ? thats such total crap

I remember a muster at CC Int when the CO, Capt. Petit, announced a "Big Win". This was back in '92.

It transpired that the rock group Mr Big had just scored a worldwide No.1 smash hit single, with the song "To Be With You". The groups bass player, Billy Sheehan, was a scieno and was a regular face at CC.

Capt Petit was in a state of electrification over this - salivating at the thought of millions of Mr Big fans being routed onto the Bridge, more kudos for CC, more status for himself, etc.

The song was No.1 for weeks, and Petit was constantly reading out the songs stats - what countries it was No.1, how many copies sold, how many Gold Discs, and the like.

For weeks the song was played out loud at staff musters, with the Sea Org crew encouraged to sing along to it, with total abandon.

The sight and sound of 200 SO personnel singing, "I'm the one who wants to be with you,
Deep inside I hope you feel it to;
Waited on a line of greens and blues,
Just to be the next to be with you." at the top of their lungs, was a sight to behold, I can tell you!

Eventually, after so many weeks, To Be With dropped out of the charts. Failing to follow up their smash hit, Capt Petit never mentioned Mr Big ever again.

The embarresment gets a lil bit much though, especially when contemplating having been a part of this whole thing lock stock & barrel.

Any tips about coming to terms with feelings of (extreme) embarresment folks, I sure could use some at times like these..

You have nothing to be embarrassed about, PJ. You were idealistic, you wanted to help yourself and others - perfect recipe to be taken in by something like scientology. Don't forget, they only want the brightest and best and they make damn sure that's what they get - and then, bit by bit, gradually break them down.

You were caught up in a national agenda, no, international agenda - called "self help." It's everywhere, and all the charletons on earth cashed - and are still cashing - in on it.

Look more to what made you get out - what do you think that was? I'm just saying consider your strengths.
