is there a "dictionary" of the symbols you all type and what they mean? I hate to even write the word "dictionary" since that was the first thing I learned on the first page of the D book. I enjoy reading different forums and am brand new here but I don't understand the titles that are held, the terms that are abbreviated etc. I get co$ and OCMB.

Hey there Smarty, here's a link that I've used in the past. It probably won't cover all the abbreviations used on this board but hopefully it'll help!

I prefer the term "PITA" (Pain In The Ass), but nevertheless I do have a couple of questions...

# 1: May we have more storage for PMs? I have lost or missed some that fall off the board when it becomes too full.

#2: I really, REALLY miss the "Last Week" feature.

#3: Maybe there is something I am doing wrong, but I find it really hard to search this board. Often I remember an exact quote, and the author, and even the approximate date, but I get tons of responses which often have nothing to do with what I was looking for. Help???

Thank you so much for making this forum available, and if there is anything you ever wish I would or would not do, please feel free to let me know.

All my best, Ladybird

Today everybody can store:

Inbox: 50 messages
Sentbox: 25 messages
Savebox: 75 messages

I don't want to use space to save private messages. How much do you suggest?

We've tested it and it works fine. Problem is that it takes a lot of computer power and is likely to slow the board down if many use it.

Can you give an example?

Re the pms, that is very generous, it just seems like they disappear, I will check them more often...and try not to use it as an IM.

Most discussions belong on the board anyway.

I will work on the search feature...it seems when I put in a name of author and the words or subject I am looking for I get a a lot of posts back to fish through and I usually just give up and go to google. I am not very computer literate...sorry for being a P.I.T.A, and thanks again for being here and all you do.
