Shouldn't that be:

"Rock, me, hard place."

As in "Caught/stuck between a..."

;-)

A13, I've been slinging around some sarcasm and I haven't been booted off. I think Andreas is concerned about trolls who advocate violence, threaten posters, and calling their debating opponents morons instead of poking holes in their LOGIC. You're higher on the evolutionary scale than a troll!

Hmmm, lemme see here, what are the rules? -
You are to behave politely and friendly on this message board or the administrator might remove your posts and/or cancel your account.

Hmm, "politely and friendly": (Covert Hostility - 1.1 on the Tone Scale) = appearing amiable and observing social conventions whilst bearing concealed malice and furthering evil intentions...

Now, I know you can do that... To be a bit hypocritical now and then is only human and not the deadliest of sins... Here, have this apple...:)

What's the worst can happen? Your offending posts removed? Horrors! Your account cancelled? Slicer, who sparked this flap, didn't get booted off the board. What's more, he's still posting, and posting intelligently. Mirabile dictu!

Stein, Dich, Schere, Papier....
Na komm! Wir sind alle überzeugt - Du kannst es gut schaffen!

Apollo13,

To me it's not "in spite of" yourself, it's "because of" yourself that we like you. And one of the things I like about you is you might dish out criticism but you can also take it. I miss the humor, too. Mein Gott, I miss the humor!

The registration business is a matter of principle to you it seems, and I respect that. So yeah, rock and a hard place. I don't want you to give up your position or principles for us - well actually that's a total lie; I do want you to so you'll keep posting here. So who's a hipocrite now? Moi.

But I'm forgiving myself because I'm human and contain contradictions which at times seems to be part of the human condition. I hope you can come up with a compromise position until this registration business is over.

Best to you,
BG

Hi guys,

I do miss not posting here. I have not been boycotting the site (I have been lurking and am glad to see that Dan is posting more). I just did not see how I could honestly comply with the new house-rules.

There is one major criticism that I have though. The graphic at the top of the left hand pane. The one with "Operation Clambake, undressing Scientology!" Now is it only me, or does the graphic look more like a pair of testicles, than shells. To me it looks like an ultrasound view of a scrotum.

In case any of you have ever wondered how the male scrotum came about by the way, a friend of mine had an interesting theory.

He said that when God was designing Adam, he had a lot of elbow skin left over. He was wondering what to do with it, after all, he didn't want to waste it, and he thought, "Why not make it into a bag and attach it somewhere. In fact I can put those ball things that I have had him carrying around in his hands into it".

Also in the female version, he didn't make so much elbow skin, he knew from creating Adam how much he needed, and that is the reason why females don't have a one. All this stuff about the scrotum having some repoductory function, is just the excuse that He made up later, so as not to mess up the impression of omnipotence and omniscience that he fostered in his creation.

God made man in his own image? I don't think so. I betcha God doesn't go around with some unsightly bag made of elbow-skin, hanging between his legs.

Which brings me to the definiton of the word indefinitely, which is, "If your balls are rattling off her bum then you are in, definitely".

Für I-Loki. Wußtest Du, daß Jesus eine Freundin hatte? Es steht sogar in der Bibel geschrieben und zwar, "Jesus ging in die Wüste, und es folgte ihn eine lange Dürre".

I definately think that Andreas should go back to the old graphic, or rather animated icon. I also think that the graphic is more appropriate to a Scientology site, because they are always talking bollocks.

"Dear children, what would Jesus say to that?"

The next was a reply to the question Apollo13 addressed to me in his last post above. It's rude, I know, but since he initiated the exchange, and we hear from him so seldom nowadays, I'll leave it to him whether to make the dialogue 'public' by translating it.

A13,

I'm new to this board, but have read some of your posts and they're hilarious--finally had a great theory to send to my friends.

You might have MUs relative to "politely and friendly" :). Andreas (or the evil "administrator"--Marcabian probably) has yet to rip a post of mine from this board despite lack of decorum; the system actually prevented me from deleting some I wish I hadn't made.

Don't betray your principles, but you might consider "bending" them for the benefit of others.

Hi, all:

Sorry to post this in the wrong place, but I can't seem to find where I can start a new post.

For whoever's interested, the July issue of Redbook magazine has an article about John and Kelly Travolta. Kelly (mostly) talks about the medical problems they had with Jett as a baby; they seem to attribute the problems to chemicals, some of which came from having their carpets cleaned regularly. I only had time to quickly scan it. Toward the end, there is merely a mention, "We are both Scientologists,..."

No big plugs for cos. Kelly has started some kind of organization to make people aware of the dangers of pesticides, cleaning fluids and such.

To me, they come off as "regular" people. Wait- I don't mean to say that I think they are, only that the uninitiated who read the article will probably come away with that impression...

It could be seen as a subtle plug for their belief system...

I feel compelled to say, I can't personally judge these people; I don't know what they know, how brain-washed they are, or what the cos may be black-mailing them with. I do suspect shills, so...
