It was shown in the Armstrong trial in Los Angeles in 1984 that
Hubbard even had blank prescription slips from the U.S. Navy, one of
which had a prescription for phenobarbital, written in Hubbard's
handwriting.
Also in the Armstrong trial where the "Affirmations" were introduced, a
letter by Hubbard to his first wife was revealed, the last sentence of
which declared, " I do love you, even if I used to be an opium
addict."

Ron's love of rum was also documented on p. 39, as Hana Eltringham
Whitfield tells us:

...I watched him drink glass after large glass of rum
and Coke: three-quarters rum and one-quarter Coke; some
seven or eight in an evening. Yet he never slurred a
word and never swayed or in any way acted the slightest
bit inebriated.

Report from Scientopolis 2005
This Report from Scientopolis 2005 is a photo essay concerning Scientology's continuing occupation of downtown Clearwater, and the deleterious results thereof.

The Scientolopolis photos really document the crumbling CoS presence in Clearwater. Here is the Scientopolis discussion on ars. I remember the city in the 1960's - full of life.

At least CoS hasn't ruined Clearwater Beach.

Thank you Digger and Don Carlo for the link - fascinating photos. Quite different since last time I was around those parts (year 2000 or so).

Check out your nearest mission or org and the lack of people. And to think I use to believe all the PR bullshit.
