Scientology-owned businesses?

Postby grrrl » Mon Mar 13, 2006 1:28 am

I am considering working for a lcoal company, xxxxxxxx. Had lunch with acquaintances who heard heard rumors that this Largo, FL company was either owned by the COS or by a member. I haven’t lived here very long and don’t have a large network of local friends. Anyone out there know if this is true? I’ve Googled the company and the name of the company president, no results.

Thanks!

(Note: I edited out the name of this company now that I know they are free of LRon and his ilk.)

Check if the company is connected to WISE

http://www.wise.org/en_US/index.html

Many companies owned by Scientologists are members of WISE.

I havn't been able to come up with any evidence pointing to the company being owned by a scieno.

Thanks for the tip, but no luck.

Just for giggles I did a search for "Digital Lightwave" using your link, thinking that one would at least score a hit. No dice, so I'm guessing only some businesses choose to be connected to WISE.

Thanks for the assist, Ike...still looking for anyone out there who might know something about SDC.

Anyone else in the know...info would be appreciated!

I am an IT project manager working for a small software development company. I am pretty desperate to leave my current position, and would hate to jump from the frying pan into the fire!

Good news..

During the interview I had the opportunity to talk alone to non-management employees. They have heard nothing of $cientology at this workplace. (Boy, was that an awkward question!)

One in particular advised that she left a position at another company herself due to the requirement she study $cientology materials one hour each day, so I'm pretty sure that they are telling me the real-deal.

My new job starts next month.

Thanks for your help!

I had Pure Postcards, located in Clearwater, do some postcards for me. Then I talked to my rep there and found out that there are Scn'ists working there. My rep might have even been one but did not admit to it.

I stopped doing business with them.
