Who would play L Ron Hubbard?

I could easily picture Mike Myers as Hubbard. Or Beau Bridges.

I just saw this topic, and I thought of him immediately! Came here to suggest it, but I see I'm not the only one who thinks he looks perfect. His voice is even somewhat close.

Over at WWP, I just listened to a Hubbard audio clip on epilepsy.
Immediately I thought to myself, "That voice reminds me of characters Hoffman has played".

Perfect casting, and he is a very fine actor.

Mao Zedong is dead too, and only spoke Mandarin.

Kim Jong IL is alive, but doesn't look the part, and also doesn't speak english.

I guess they could haul Charlie Manson out to do it, but he is not quite crazy or evil enough.

Peter MacNicol could play Moxon, I think. He'd need to learn to do 'evil,' but he's already played a lawyer back in his Allie McBeal days.

This may be generally known, and only "new" news to me, but while reading Hubbard's bio on Wikipedia, this was listed under "Fictionalized depictions in media":

"As of 2010, director Paul Thomas Anderson is planning a film based on Hubbard called The Master.[200] Philip Seymour Hoffman has been cast to play the leader of, "a faith-based organization that becomes popular in 1952 America — exactly the year L. Rob Hubbard expanded his Dianetics self-help system and established the Church of Scientology."[201] Reese Witherspoon and Jeremy Renner have reportedly been approached to appear.[202]"

And I think Bubbles from The Trailor Park Boys would've make an good Hubbard.
