Who would play L Ron Hubbard?

One day someone will make a full feature movie about the life of L Ron Hubbard and how he created the Church of Scientology. How would the story go, what title should it have, what should and should not be included, who could make it, who would play the different roles? Add your inspirational thoughts here.

I lurve the idea of Michael McKean as Hubturd. He can really exude menace and he's the right physical "type."

Tom Wilkinson (he's nominated for his great turn as a conflicted corporate lawyer in "Michael Clayton" and you might remember him as the father from "In the Bedroom.") would also be a phenomenal Hubbard.

Hey....how about the always great Sam Rockwell for a younger Hubturd?

And, don't EVEN argue with this one because it's genius and I have a LOT of retarted idears, but this one here is a keeper:

LINDA HUNT as David Miscavige.....!

Well.......well?

Let it marinate a while...
John Carmichael: Are you a homo? Have you come out of the closet?
ANONYMOUS: You're wearing tweed in the summer and you're asking ME if I'm a faggot? Xenu please ...
John Carmichael: What?

Michael McKean would be great in the part.

For me, Sam Rockwell just doesn't jump out as the young Hubbard.

How about Tim Blake Nelson or Paul Giamatti for SOMETHING? Those guys RULE.

Help me work Rockwell in....Dainty Dave, or something.

He would make a good evil bag man character....LeServe or Starkey, perhaps?

is the jabba the hutt costume still around? that would be perfect for the role of lrh.

since all the munchkins are either too old or passed away, they can't play lil davey.
i suggest we just throw a rock into a pile of pigshit to symbolize davey. it'll be artsey fartsey....we'll just have the pigshit-rock represent davey.

travolta can play cruise and cruise can play travolta. you know they've been wanting to do that anyway.

i smell blockbustah!

aight you guys, this is a new one.

Have you ever seen MONK? TV show, funny excop guy with OCD solves murders.

Well, he has a boss, this boss was the guy from Silence of the Lambs, Buffalo Bill--remembering??

PERFECT crazy evil combination, he'd be an older Hubbard, i'm convinced he's perfect.

So brave filmakers really need to get on this, in wide-realease. they could start writing now and when they got caught up in present-time they'd have all the great DOWNFALL stuff to write about.Image

HUBBARD, no? Sorry, I'll stop using caps so much, sometimes I post high. Yeah, NarCONon, I kNOw....

I think any Scieno actor would make a good LRH since they are all on a mission to turn themselves into LRH clones.

Micheal McKean really does look just like him and he gives me the creeps as well!

Is Richard Griffiths the actor who played in "Harry Potter?" If so, I am casting my vote for him!

 Joaquin Phoenix has an odd, stunning, "take me now" kind of gorgeous and looks nothing like LRH, but I think he nailed the character in "Gladiator"! That's what I imagine LRH to have been like!
 And that is one of my favorites, too!

Wow, he's made for the role!

Who's writing the script (writer)?

Director?

Director of Photography?

Executive Producer?
