Delicious KC Org Watch-You Must Have Some!

Post by marlysfan » Thu Oct 16, 2008 11:40 pm

Oh! There you are! I didn't see you come in...well, step inside, because this girl has the GOODS on the KC CoS! Due to the fact that I live about ten blocks away from the local org, I see it pretty much every day. And this dame WATCHES!

Nothing really interesting in the months of Sept./Oct. EXCEPT that on a rather dangerous (see: running from crack pushers) jaunt down 39th at dark, I saw in the building, which is rare. Above the H&R Block I saw the org board and file cabinets. Above the entrance is what would appear to be a course room (large room with two Scientology crosses on the walls). Further east (still above the building...I believe the downstairs is mainly Div 6 business) I saw an office with a bunch of flowers at the desk (is it your birthday already, Maggie?).

That's all, folks. I'll keep ya posted.

xoxo

Tell Maggie I said Happy Birthday. :)

I just looked at their website
http://www.scientology-kansascity.org/
and I'm pretty sure the picture of the building shown was taken well before they occupied the space. It was a pretty building before they moved in, but once they were there those nice burgundy awnings slowly wore out and were taken down. It's been a couple years since I've been in KC, but last I knew the awnings were all gone and the building looked like crap, and had vacant spaces where there used to be tenant businesses. Kinda pathetic that they are too ashamed to use an accurate picture of the org. Maybe someone can ask Maggie what's up with that?

It's not done for everywhere yet, but I LOVE google maps street view, I was able to see the neighborhood I grew up in with it, it's changed a lot but also a lot the same. I wish they had it for my great-grandparents old farm. The only thing is I haven't figured out if you can save a pic that would, that would make it totally awesome . :D
