Unfortunately, these days there's nothing difficult about finding pretty much anyone who's using their own name. There are many websites run by companies who constantly scan public records and compile your info for anyone who wants it. Google "people search" and you'll see what I mean.

Even before these companies started online there were publications available to debt collectors that IMO were a gross invasion of privacy. I once temped in the collections dept of a bank--just doing clerical work, but it was disgusting how much some of the phone people LOVED their job and would brag about the terrible things they'd said to people--and they had a number of huge yellow-pages-like books that listed not only individuals' info, but that of their neighbors and employers. Which, of course, brings up the question of why these websites are legal in the first place.

Unless you go into the witness protection program Scientology will always be able to find you with very little effort.

Personal privacy is definetly a thing of past, even more so after the internet and the "War on Terror" where governments (and others) demand to know everything about everybody.

What is especially creepy about scientology is how persistent they are, they keep tracking people for years who have left and made it clear they want nothing to do with the cult. It is almost impossible to get off their mailing lists even if all you did was buy a book or take one of their street corner stress tests .

The cult is still delivering promo to my mother-in-law who has been dead for over 20 years. They know it and have been asked to stop many, many times. It is very upsetting to dad. Other relatives who were never in (we think the cult got their names from our "Life History" form) still get tons of promo too, and are very embarrassed to get that crap delivered to their house.

The individuals writing you are under the influence of scientology and are just following orders. Hubbard made up a policy about "Outflow = Inflow" and made it a crime to remove names from the central files.

I've been watching and reading so much stuff about scientologists and scientology. First thing is, they "teach you how to communicate better" (i know you lot already know this) But, if you type in Derren Brown into youtube or google, HTTP://WWW.DERRENBROWN.CO.UK He is very famous in the UK, Derren Brown is a performer who combines suggestion, psychology, misdirection and showmanship in order to seemingly predict and control human behaviour, as well as performing mind-bending feats of mentalism other methods to make you do something that you would not do, Hubbud uses the same technique, but his was to get rich and trick people (Derren did it for show). Once you drill into peoples heads that they will be better and say it over and over, you will feel it, its physiology at it's best. Anyways, the way they talk to you by e-mails and phone is another trick , SO DON'T REPLY OR TALK. Also, audits are recorded every session as camera's are installed into pictures and mirrors. So that is not religion, that is an organization that will use it against you if you leave. Even though the 'church' say's you can leave at any time, they wont let you that easy, because they want your money (which i am sure you'll already no) but back on topic, they will use FAIR GAME on you for leaving, make false accusations to make you the bad person. They have been known to make who ever is your relation to come speak to you and make you come back (no doubt there will be a guy with a camera filming all this) Just say good bye. I don't no what it was like personaly but hearing some terrible things and splitting up families...how can the government let this go on any more? The harassment, the bullying....
