I’ve been given the opportunity to be of service to OCMB by moderating the Your Story From Inside Scientology section.
I hope you will help me in that effort.

My Moderation will consist of taking action (or not taking action) in order to foster an environment that is conducive to the spirit of the Original Sub-Title of this Section:

“Share your personal experiences with others. We're not here to judge or criticize, but to share and support.”

Further, we would like to see this Section be a place where folks can tell their story in a comprehensive way. What do we mean by that? When we tell the story of coming from a dark place, it is most often loosely structured in this suggested way:

What It Was Like. :homework: :nervous: :violent1: :angry9: ](*,) :furious: :arguing: :pale:

What Happened. :questionmarksmiley: :puker: :study:  :computer: :-k :lurk: :bs: :cya:

What it’s Like Today. :sunny:   :leapfrog: :love5:  :talker: :kissysmilies: :woohoo!:

What It Was Like: What was it or what is it like for you in The Church of Scientology? On staff, public, Sea-Org, family members of Scientologists... past or present, tell us your story.

What Happened: What happened that woke you up? Caused you to doubt? To break? What was the first seed? What was the straw that broke the camel’s back? Has this not happened yet for you? Not sure that you want to leave? That’s OK too, tell us where you’re at with that.

What It’s Like Today: After you left, what is it like now? How is your life changing? What makes you happy now?

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I won’t be able to please everybody all the time but I will do my best to be fair. My Moderation may be more active than perhaps what you are used to here on OCMB. Spam and excessive off-topic derailments will be deleted quietly and without sorrow. I will be cleaning up some existing threads.

The title of this Section is Your Story From Inside Scientology. The title is not Your Story From Inside Freezone scientology.

If a Scientologist is lurking here or musters the bravery to post here, this Section of OCMB is not the place to beat the crap out of them with the heaviest of Church outpoints to in order for them to instantly “see the light.” We have the Opinions & Debate Section for that. Let them talk, let them know that there is help waiting patiently for them. It's OK for a Scientologist to post here and remain a Scientologist if they choose, it really is.

If you disagree with a decision I have made please don't make a huge scene on the board. PM or email me and put your case forward. Usually disputes can be resolved amicably by doing this. But know that I will be acting decisively and won’t be engaging in long winded, endless and acrimonious debates regarding decisions I’ve made or actions I’ve taken. If you are still unhappy with the outcome, know this: it is still Andreas’ Message Board.

I may refine and update this Sticky as the days go by and I get my legs under me. I’ll leave this thread open for now so y’all can express your un-dying love for me and ask questions, but know that I may lock the thread at any time and I’ll probably delete your posts at some point because my intention is for this post to remain solely as a Sticky Announcement. For now it is a work in progress.

I mainly wanted announce this change to you in the Your Story From Inside Scientology and say hello so that changes are not completely surprising to you.

Regards,

Roan

Before you all start kissing Roan's ass, I think I should point out that in the opions and debate section recently he posted that I should 'go suck on a gritt', whatever a grit is, and also that he wouldn't care if I was, 'ravaged by cancer' Is this the sort of person we want as a moderator on this board if he can't moderate himself? Methinks not.

What is it about this: "If you disagree with a decision I have made please don't make a huge scene on the board. PM or email me and put your case forward."
That you didn't understand?

And! - Another miracle cure for addiction. That is power-hyped in our face to rearrange our very hairdo! - Chances are that people will freak out over that too.. Another 2 bit Hubbard!

supercreep,

Roan posted that he did not want any PM's from me in another thread so I have to use this thread to get my point over but I will stop now, I'm tired at the ignorance and paranoia, I'll lurk but not post for a while until my next picket report unless I recieve any more insults( insult that make me laugh are fine though)

truthseeker,

My retarded older brother often escapes from his bedroom and posts under my account, but only in the Opinions and Debate Section. He tells me (with great glee) that "gritt" means cigarette. Don't let him get to you, as he was nursed on barley formula and cal. mag. and so is a bit touched. He sends his apologies to you and despite the fact that he is laughing uncontrollably right now, I believe he is sincere.

I recognize your good work on the picket lines and hope you keep posting here.

Regards,

Roan

Thanks for taking this on. Frankly I didn't see any real problems with this section except for you know who with his inane spam. I hope this section gets back to real stories and real posts real soon.

Speaking of which, has anyone in particular been banned here or are they demonstrating amazing self-control with the cut and paste buttons?

I don't know. People come and go, take breaks. That is my guess.

Truthseeker... Roan points out that this is the kinder, gentler section of OCMB, while you might get the crap beaten out of you in Opinions & Debate.

If you can't stand the gritt, stay out of the sandbox!
