Post subject: Scientology leader personally owns a patent on tiny recording devices. For actors, he says(yeah, right!). Also, patented mindcontrol devices... does Co$ uses this?

In the patent office at:

I looked for scientology(was looking for E-meter) but instead found this:

United States Patent 5,455,869
Miscavige October 3, 1995

------------------------------
Lavalier microphone assembly

Abstract
A lavalier microphone assembly wherein ambient and mechanical interference are minimized. The assembly comprises a lavalier microphone. The microphone includes a microphone casing having an aperture for the entry of sound waves and a transducer disposed within the casing near the aperture for conversion of sound waves into electrical signals. The assembly also comprises a cable, which is connected to the transducer for transmitting the electrical signals to a remote location for processing. The assembly further comprises a microphone cage which is attached to the cable and which surrounds the microphone. By surrounding the microphone, the cage both prevents the microphone from being inadvertently contacted and spaces the microphone from noises produced by the rustling of clothing. The cage is mounted on an article of clothing by means of a mounting pin, the mounting pin being fixedly mounted on the cage.

Declassified mindcontrol patent numbers:

The "familiarity with certain toughts" detection device, acceptable as proof in court(!). I'm sure "ethics" would love to have such an advanced debriefing procedure...

Three links. Those 3 links aren't entirely accurate, scientific, proven, etc. but they match the patented devices!!! Hmmm. Does this means orbital mind control satellites can lobotomize me from orbit?

Simon:

Pretty wild (in a good sense) stuff. Nice work on the patent research.

The filing claims the mic cage (sounds like a good tough-guy name - Mike Cage, Cultbuster-At- Large) was developed for actors so that the microphone within wouldn't pick up extra ambient noise from rustling of clothing. I agree with what you say - "Yeah, right." Stage actors use microfiber headset-type microphones that are colored to blend in with the actor's makeup. Microphones placed closer to the head are least likely to pick up ambient noise - that includes everything from rustling clothing to stomach growls.

A cage for a lavalier microphone would be best used for public speakers or ministers who don't want extra noise mixed in with their speaking. That's all the practical uses I can think of for it. Just because there's a patent for something doesn't mean that it is readily useful. The Spud Gun is patented (the little plastic pistol gag gift - you jam the barrel into a potato and shoot out little pieces of it), but is it be something that would make your life easier?

Alternatively, though, the mic cage could be used when someone wants to record an auditing session or an ethics interrogation, and their biggest concern is that the recording has the sound of clothes rustling.

E-meters are big enough to place a tiny hidden recording device inside it, but it might need a way to get a clearer sound? Maybe, maybe not.

The real point that I was making is that David Miscavige has personal skill on how to design tiny listening devices that have quality sound. In theory, a power-hungry person with OSA "ethics" would use it to climb the ranks towards the top of Scientology(his other specialty, notary involved in the transfer of Hubbard's copyrights, is another example of "coincidence")...

...of course this is conspiracy theory. David could be an exceptionally honest person *grin* and resist the temptation because the good of Scientology is more important than himself *big grin*. And that would have gotten him the leadership *giggle*. And Elvis sightings are due to the reality caused by people who believe that he is alive, making him real in multiple copies every day! *rolling on the floor laughing*

As for mindcontrol devices, if Scientology built half of those in the patent list, they would not need to sue critics. (-;

Simon

Maybe David Miscavige just got his name on the patent, taking credit for work done by others. He actually is not smart enough to button his own shirt. He is however clever enough to manipulate others, as you point out.
