After I put the automatic response message on my old email, which I still check regularly, I received this email:

"Hello xxxxx,
There was a reason that you came in.
Your worth giving yourself a chance.
Come back in.
=xxxx xxxxxxx, basic course administrator"

Pretty absurd. Didn't put his or my name in fear that they would see this post...

Kind of creepy!
Also, nice grammar... ("Your," not "You're)

I did not respond and I have put a "vacation notice" on my email that says, "Email account deactivated for the next 1 Billion years due to excessive religious contact." And I changed my email.

LOL, great reply!.

Love, Sekh

As much as I try to ignore the old email, I still check the account once or twice a week...
Desperation much??? Even when I give them the automatic DONT CONTACT ME response. From the same staff member...

Hello xxxxx,

How are you?

I haven't seen you in a long time.

Are you still playing music?

Makes me seriously consider joining Anonymus full time to fight these morons...

Yeah, they're persistant little devils, that's for sure.

I agree with everyone else to not answer or make contact. Nothing good will come of it. They'll just try to push your buttons to make you come back. It sounds like you have your life on track, and you don't need these guys pushing you off the rails. They're desperate, so don't bite, or they will try everything to reel you in.

Haha, the good thing about joining Anonymous is there's nothing to join. You don't have to sign up or agree to anything. Of course you could register an account on WWP, but it's not required. If you later get bored, get busy or just get out of touch for awhile, you won't get crazy people contacting you a million times, begging for you to return. Also with Anonymous (or just being a critic) nobody's going to work you to death AND take your money.

Terrapin, lol, I know you know all that. :) I'm writing it to show the difference between critic/activism and Scientology, for anyone still in Sci who may be lurking. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to find anything at all out here that will demand so much of your life, like Scientology will.

remember to keep any and all letters, VM Etc they send you in a secure location. There are reasons you may never envision that you might need them even years from now. Also if you should make the mistake of letting them in your home there is no law saying you can video tape inside or on your property.

Terrapin,

It sounds to me that your doing a good job putting your life back together. It's been 30 years since I left scientology. We didn't have email back then . Thank God so at least I didn't have to worry about that kind of harrassment. They sent magazines to me for about most of the 30 years but now have stopped finally. Somehow when I moved the magazines kept finding me. I was considered part-time staff. Lost enough money that would buy an inexpensive car now. Something went wrong in auditing that couldn't be reconsiled between the church and I. They didn't like me complaining and asked me to leave I believe.

They try to tell you that you can't get better without them. They're just trying to sabitage you so you'll stay with them and keep giving them money. It's a cruel tactic. There is alot of help and caring out there. You just have to keep looking. And if it doesn't feel right leave. You're being very brave. Keep strong and remember that you have the right to your opinions and you are making the right decisions for you.

Incidentally this is my first time on the message board too.

Tristen

The staff members are given quotas, as you may know, on how many letters (and maybe e-mails?) to send out to "Blown staff," blown pcs, blown students, etc. The C of S will never let go of an address. Communication from them will be relentless.

Do not acknowledge it and put a spam filter on your e-mail. If you want them to stop you must threaten to take legal action to end the harrassment. The only problem with doing that is it could harm your relationship with your relatives in Scientology. At the very least, they will have to pay extra to the ethics officer to "handle" the PTS situation. At the worst, they will sever all ties with you. So, if you want to maintain a relationship with them, don't threaten legal action.

You are smart to have gotten out when you did. Hopefully you can find support on this forum and through a therapist who prescribes your medication.

The people involved with Scn are not rational; they are all following orders ("the tech.") Do not engage with them unless you want to stay involved with Scn.

Cl IV, OEC, OT 3ep (I wasted many years with them and I know how they operate)

Thanks for that advice. I doubt I will threaten legal action unless of course they come to my house or something...
Here's another email.

"Hello xxxxx,

I haven't heard or seen you in awhile, how are you?

What have you been up to?

Still playing the drums?

right back and let me know it will be great to hear from you."

spelling fail. wow.
how very annoying.

Hi Tristen! I used to be really freaked out when the cult would keep sending letters and promo everytime I moved, even when I left a forwarding address to a PO box or lived in corporate housing where nothing was in my name.

Who ever is in charge of keeping all the addresses up to date can probably get a job as a skip-tracer when the cult goes under. Gotta admit they are good!
