Intent, honesty, ownership and integrity.

If your intention is based on truth, then you will have a very different outcome than if the intent was based on making self right.

If the intent was enslavement then the outcomes would be disasterous.

The same goes for honesty, ownership, and integrity.

Also scientology was a composite compilation of a lot of earlier workable orocesses and procedures. In one of the earlier books this was stated.

Consequently it is often difficult to shift the good from the bad and ugly. What makes it so damaging is the intent was enslavement.

I totally agree with you beenthere when you said that Hubbard is the ultimate who has been one nasty influence. It was LRH who started the SO, RPF and heavy ethics, screaming at crew, working slave hours etc.
I remember when the SO first started and the first mission came to Saint Hill with their battons and knives and throwing people into the dam behind
LRH's mansion at East Grinstead.

I joined staff at St. Hill when I was 17, before the Sea Org officially came about, and before it was called a church and it was great then. I guess that is the reason I decided years and years later that I will join the Sea Org, thinking that it had changed, and the old comaradie was still there.

I love this board and one day will tell my story, it spans over 25 hrs all in all.

Hi Jasmine,

You experienced Saint Hill before the 1st idiot SO Mission, wasn't Saint Hill and the staff great then!

That 1st SO Mission forever changed the mood level of Scio., downward.

It was if jackbooted Gestapo Agents had been let loose on unsuspecting friendly people.

Love, to read your story.

Alan

We must have stories!

It is a science fiction writer's cult after all.

The 1st SO Mission to an Org.

It was the first week in October 1967 when the 1st SO Mission to an Org. took place. It was at Saint Hill, the SO Officers in charge of the mission were Fred Payer, Joe and Jill van Staden. They were hatted and directed by LRH directly.

Saint Hill staff were excited that they were to have the help from the SO. (Several staff told me this.) But, very quickly the excitement turned to fear when Fred Payer stuck a dagger into the staff notice board and told the staff; “they were here to put ethics in!

Almost immediately after this, Payer walked into Reg Sharpe’s office and wanted to know why he didn’t turn up to the staff meeting?

Reg looked at Payer, took a cigarette out and lit it up, Payer slapped the cigarette out of his mouth and started yelling at him, Reg walked over to where his coat was, put it on and walked out – never to set foot inside Scio again – as he left Payer was screaming at him to obey him.

Saint Hill was decimated by these acts of abuse, as this type of behavior was done to several SH executives.

I arrived at SH a couple of days later so I got the stories 2nd hand. What shocks me looking back on this was my inability to grasp the enormity of the psychosis that was being demonstrated by LRH and the SO at the time.

I realize now that most of us were completely naïve as to what was going on as we only had pieces of the story…..and more importantly we were mostly ignorant fools, who had no idea of what we were doing.

It should be noted an almost identical SO Mission was done to NY Org in late 1968 that basically destroyed that Org., for it never came back to the level of performance it once had. The SO Officers on that Mission were Doreen Casey and Yvonne Gilham…they too stuck a dagger in the staff notice board.

A lot of people have said they really hope Alan sticks around because he has a unique
perspective unseen here at OC. To date he's explained "auditing tech" in a way no one else has. I wish some would knock off the snarky sarcasm. It's just sneaky way to marginalize someone new here and sabotage a thread.
Alan is a long time critic of Hubbard & Scientology.

Dear Umike,

Don't worry about Hubbards Mushroom, he is what is known as a QUARK.

He has spent so long making nothing of others and himself that he has almost disapeared.

quark - noun [C] SPECIALIZED

In physics, one of the most basic forms of matter that make up the heavier elementary particles:

Atoms are made up of smaller particles - protons, neutrons and electrons - some of which are made up of even smaller ones, called quarks.

++++++++++ SACRED CULT SCRIPTURE +++++++++++++

The DEFENSE of anything is UNTENABLE. The only way to defend anything
is to ATTACK, and if you ever forget that, then you will lose every
battle you are ever engaged in, whether it is in terms of personal
conversation, public debate or court of law. NEVER BE INTERESTED IN
CHARGES. DO, yourself, much MORE CHARGING, and you will WIN.

-- L. Ron Hubbard
HCOPL 30 may 1974

++++++++++++ SACRED CULT SCRIPTURE +++++++++++++

This is standard, 1 2 3 action and should not be deviated from. The
maxim is .. "when under attack .. attack". The point is .. even if you
don't have enough data to win the case .. still attack .. LOUDLY.
Reason is, it is only those people that have crimes that will attack
us, and they will soon back off for fear of being found out when
attacked back.

-- L. Ron Hubbard

++++++++++++ SACRED CULT SCRIPTURE +++++++++++++

NEVER agree to an investigation of Scientology. ONLY agree to an
investigation of the attackers.
[...]

This is correct procedure:

(1) Spot who is attacking us.

(2) Start Investigating them promptly for FELONIES or worse using our
own professionals, not outside agencies.

(3) Double curve our reply by saying we welcome an investigation of
them.

(4) Start feeding lurid, blood, sex, crime actual evidence on the
attackers to the press.

Don't ever tamely submit to an investigation of us. Make it rough,
rough on attackers all the way.

You can get "reasonable about it" and lose. Sure we break no laws.
Sure we have nothing to hide. BUT attackers are simply an
anti-Scientology propaganda agency so far as we are concerned. They
have proven they have no facts and will only lie no matter what they
discover. So BANISH all ideas that any fair hearing is intended and
start our attack with their first breath. Never wait. Never talk
about us - only them.

-- L. Ron Hubbard

BTW in October 1967, the GOWW had a staff of 4 or 5, the SO had 39 people in it.

All upper levels were being delivered at Saint Hill, OT III was not realeased yet.

The SO ships were the Diana, a small sailing boat, slept 6, and the Avon River which had just been purchased and was in dry dock at Las Palmas being repaired.

USGO, and ASHO did not exist.

Hubbard Mushroom,

I find it interesting you quote those policies....obviously without any awareness of the Technical ramifications they cause.

Those particular policies are what caused several 10,000’s of good people to leave Scio., for they create a continuous present time unsolvable problem.

Those policies stopped people especially staff members from being able to communicate freely…..plus it stopped them from handling their disagreements and upsets……this gave them UNDELIVERED COMMUNICATIONS.

An UNDELIVERED COMMUNICATION is a Present Time Problem…….too many PTP’s and you start going bonkers trying to solve them…….the only way out is to disconnect…..usually you disconnect in stages…….but the moment you disconnect, even if you are trying to hide it - your stats will crash……you become ethics bait…….that is the beginning of the cycle for most departures from anything.

Today you can observe a massive backlog of undelivered communications throughout the media as well as individuals.

The Techies on this list will immediately see how many destructive orders that are contained in those policies…..the most obvious is violation of Policy Number One…..Maintain friendly relations with the environment…..

The 2nd from bottom paragraph should have read:

Today you can observe the unleashing of a massive backlog of undelivered communications throughout the media as well as individuals.

I joined St. Hill staff at the tender age of 17 in 1967. I actually loved it there at the Hill, the staff were friendly, lots and lots of Americans and later on Swedes. LRH had left previously to setup the Sea Org. Then the peace was shattered. The 1st SO Mission arrived with battens and knives. One day a knife was placed in the ceiling above my desk and I was told that it would fall down if my ethics went out. Well lucky for me it did not.
The whole atmosphere from then on at St. Hill changed. Fear entered.

I joined the Publications Org in Edinburgh in '68 and Doreen Casey (Sea Org) was Captain. The way staff were treated was abominable. We weren't even SO, just contracted staff. I found myself in ethics after deciding I wanted to leave, and was put into a room with bars underneath the elevator shaft with only water and a piece of bread and a bucket.
After 24 hrs I was let out. I still wanted to leave and then I was subjected to a court case, found guilty and in the middle of winter, the punishment was two buckets of water thrown over me.

I left soon after.

This sounds very unreal for people who have never experienced such abuse, but I swear it is the truth. The early days of SO were barbaric and I heard later that Doreen Casey was declared.

There are many more stories like this around. I stayed in Scientology because I honestly thought this was the group to help people, but after 25 years and 6 in the SO, I realized finally that it was a big con. In no other group does one get treated so badly, with such disrespect. I am so so so glad that I finally made the move to get out.

In 25 years
Out finally 11 years ago

A few weeks ago I wrote the following, since that time the whole of Scio and Hubbard’s track has opened up for me. Today I am running out how Hubbard could hypnotize me and others.

As best I can observe Hubbard used his multiple identity flip-flops to tie up all available attention and life force.

CONTROL POINT 1: The Hypnotist.

A person who has established the power of complete domination, and control over another’s spirituality, attention, thoughts, determination, mind, body, space, time, energy, things and subjects.

CONTROL POINT 2: Hypnosis.

A dominated other determined condition that resembles a dull unconscious stupor sleep type state that is induced by domination of life force particles and attention and is controlled by suggestion.
A state wherein the individual or group has given up or assigned away all control and power over their spirituality, attention, thoughts, determination, mind, body, space, time, energy, things and subjects to another or others.

CONTROL POINT 3: The Hypnotic trance state.

A dull unconscious stupor sleep type trance state induced by hypnosis; the person is submerged and put under the complete control of the hypnotist and robotically accepts and acts out the hypnotists suggestions.

This is what I wrote previously:

I am sure most of you are aware, that what I write about is only as I saw it then, whether it is true or I was completely deluded even now I’m not sure sometimes....slowly the dots are connecting.

This morning I woke up seeing the whole track of Scio?

In the early fifties "the era of Dianetic's", after the initial failures and plenty of individual successes, a lot of Dianetic Practitioners continued with Dianetic's. Jana can tell you a lot more about this than I can.

Scio then moved into an era spanning 1952 to 1959 of almost anything goes...people were coming up with a lot of great processes......squirreling was almost the natural order of the day, this pretty much continued until 1959. (Dianetic’s actually mutated into holographic running of incidents and areas of your life.) The first covert control point was most likely HCO. This was the ethics arm as well as many other hats of Scio in those days. Somewhere there is an old HCO Manual posted on the internet. If you read it you will see some surprising policies.

Things began to tighten up as the Orgs got more power and trained staff, though there were very few Orgs. Then things tightened up even more.....especially as the Saint Hill Briefing Course started to graduate people.

The period from 1960 to 1964 was the period of sovereignty. People were processed on their own goals. They were free to use anything they wanted.

1964 began the period of domination, own goals were out, you now ran on Hubbard’s Goals all hatting, processing and training was designed to be aligned to Hubbard. The "cult era was beginning. The Mission Network actually secretly did not go along with this....they developed the Life Repair, or expanded the Life Repair...Life Repair allowed the person to be processed on their own goals.

There were always a large number of people who would leave at these change points.

Each subsequent year saw more and more control points and Organization being built to enforce the goals of Hubbard. The GO came into being, Then the SO, and the CMO, plus lots of sub-organizations and bureaus.
