Buffalo org

Post by free_for_real » Tue Nov 09, 2004 10:39 pm

ED (Executive Director) blew the new buffalo org and then the replacement blew (left without notice).

Guess all that Tom Cruise PR and the new building didn't help much.

I was told them but I don't remember. I can ask the person who told me who has family in New York.

I know the second person was priorly a wise consultant that got pretty pressured to take over in the first place and gave up all his clients to do it.

In the church, isn't there a type of rule that you need to find your own replacement in order for you to move to another post? This would place a great deal of pressure on someone to inflate the perks and realities of a particular job. They do this to new recruits too. I'm just curious what they tell a potential ED about how much cash they can make. Could someone elaborate on their point system and how much mission holders and senior Org execs can make? Also how this compares now to before the Big Purge of the early eighties.

Free at last are the first names of the two Eds by chance Jeff or Tom.

Pit Bull yes you are suppose to find a replacement but things have to get done and well "policy" is not always followed and a "reason" is given why. They know before how much they are going to make. The thinking is that you could be the one to push the stats and "Make the Org. Boom." That is why staff are always there they believe if they work that much harder that they will all benefit.

Pit Bill, it has been my experience that they do not try to get new staff from impressing them with high pay, they usually use threats and scare tactics like the whole universe is depending on YOU and you want to stay a... (fill in the blank).

"Nothing could be more important than to take over as ED and we really need you, etc. etc."

It a guilt trip or threat that usually does it.

Staff members in most orgs even execs do not make very much money at all.

The only orgs I know of who give commissions other than book sales is in the SO orgs where the registrars are usually on commission and make a lot of money at 10% commission. Why do you think they are so relentless? Because they have a higher purpose?... NO because they are getting paid for it.

I was not in during the 80's but my friends that were say it wasn't any different.

Mission holders are a different story. Although they are supposed to get paid like regular staff (and usually do, in fact) they also can have the mission pay for basically all of their living expenses and travel and auditing and training and schooling for their kids, etc.. So basically, they end up making a lot of money but it isn't shown as wages so it is tax free. (Even though it should be shown as wages it isn't)

Wow! Amazing.....especially after all the hooplah with the "New Buffalo Org". Wasn't that just a few months ago?

Great timing, whomever you are

If you feel alone (Which you very well may)..just hang here anonymously, and enjoy the company.

You don't have to return to Buffalo. You're not a bad person for leaving.

I wouldn't suggest wasting your time and energy "Routing out" ..which they'll try to recover you and get you to do. All that is happens to be their one more chance to totally cave you IN, or get you back.

Read up on the Internet. Many of the books are here on OC for free, so you can read, study, learn, and just chat here, and enjoy the ride.

Congratulations, whomever you are! I know it's VERY hard to make such steps, when everything around you is stacked against you leaving. You did, and your replacement too.

Ya.........hoooooooooooooooo.

May more people do the same. It's about time!

It's a new day..... [Image no longer available]

Tory, I hope that they people we write about here actually get to this message board and read that we know more on the "outside" than they know on the "inside".

Also, when is scientology execs and OSA going to realize that you can't keep doing awful things to people and think no one will ever find out.

All the people on staff have seen so much insanity and mistreatment that all they have to do is get a glimpse of this and they realize, like most of us have, that it wasn't them, it was the mind controlling cult all along.

I am Barbara and I use to go to the Buffalo org till ASHO deadfiled me.

I knew Ellie Perkins as she was my first auditor. Jeremy was my twin on the M1 course.

I live south of the city and I am now in the freezone.

I like to find someone that I can meet to talk to.

Huh? M1 course? What do you mean? The only M1 I knew was M1 word clearing. Is this what you are refering to?
