With the help of an organization I'm in, known as The Progressive Alliance, there will be a presentation and public forum on the CoS at Concord University later on this month.

CU's students know nothing of the threat that the Co$ poses. Granted, it appears to be a dying beast, but the beast still lives nonetheless. The nearest Org is a Dianetics center in North Carolina, but with the help of local church leaders and community groups, we'll ensure that the Co$ doesn't set its dirty foot in the Mountain State.

More info will follow, but at the end of this month, there WILL be a Scientology forum at Concord University in Athens, West Virginia, 100 miles from Blacksburg, Virginia.

Arnie Lerma, one of the fiercest, most tested and dedicated anti-$cientology activists, lives in Northern VA. Have you thought about contacting him or someone else to give an expert's perspective?

He lists all his contact info on his posts.

Now that they know you're doing this, they'll bus $cienos in to attend and stack the debate deck.

Well, I haven't set a date yet, so if they bus people in on August 31st, and there's no presentation, they'll look pretty glib, now won't they?

And I'll try and contact him, but Northern VA is pretty damned far from Southern WV.

I'm not sure if your organization collects dues or has any funds for honorarira, but perhaps, if Arnie would like to come and can make it, you could set him up with mileage compensation and offer him a room on campus. Most colleges and universities have a room where speakers and visitors may be lodged.

If not, perhaps your membership could all pitch in to pay mileage and a hotel room?

It would be such an added benefit to have an activist ex-$cientologist with Arnie's expertise there.

My one other thought is that you might want to post this as a request if you decide it's a good idea, to the main "Opinions and Debate" board, where it will receive more views. There may be exes who are willing to speak publicly who are closer than Arnie.

Kudos to you and your group for offering this as a topic for the school community's consideration. You are $cientology's most-wanted demographic, and you need to let your fellow students know how venal they are.

Thank you much. We have to nail out all of the details though, before we can set a date. I've completed my half of the presentation, and we'll see if this all goes according to plan.
