York Mission

Post by fairgamestop.org » Thu Dec 02, 2010 7:48 pm

Opened in 2007 ( tihink) to as much fanfare the Jive Aces could manage on a cold rainy day on a main drag on the outskirts of town...

Thanks for passing on the info.
Do you, by any chance, know if they could be moving to another building or have they definitely shut shop ?

If York is now a cult free zone then it's more good news indeed. :D

Thread on WWP:

"York Dianetics in trouble?"
http://forums.whyweprotest.net/123-leak ... ble-60984/

Pretty damn dead. If the landlord is advertising it as available for short leases (OP pic is from late 2009) then the scientologists must have moved out.

The website main page yorkdianetics.org was taken down apparently because of an investigation by York Trading Standards, following a complaint they received about the York Dianetics website and its content.
The index page reads: "This site is undergoing some re-structuring. The work will be completed ASAP, so visit again soon!" and has been like that for over a year I think.
You can actually get to their website content via: yorkdianetics.org/About-Author.htm (www. removed to disable clicking. Copy and paste into your browser address bar, proxying up if you so require)

They had reportedly been selling books on ebay such as "Problems of Work" and "Control Your Own Life" etc under the psychology category.

Plaintext copy of address:
Suite 1, Matmer House,
35 Hull Road,
York,
YO10 3JW
Phone: 01904 438 220
