Epic raid, Scientology opened their "Ideal Morgue" in Santa Ana and protestors were on hand to mark the occasion. Much lulz and enturbulation were had by all and creepy goons were out in full force to try to intimidate and bother, failing miserably all the way.

We met on the north side of the event, several streets were closed down. The availability of parking meant that many public Scientologists had to pass by our little rebel alliance, where they were treated to the latest news that their "church" isn't telling them, i.e., the closure of Narconon Trois-Rivieres and Lisa Marie blowing the cult among other items.

The cops met up with us and gave us the ground rules for protesting (no tunes, alas!) and were pretty cool, though apparently they harassed Smurf early on at the direction of the Scilons (fail!).

Interaction with OSA goons was limited to them filming and attempting (and failing!) to follow us, also had a couple of them attempt to pass themselves off as curious bystanders, but their binders bearing Scientology logos were a dead giveaway, lol!!

We also had some newbies show up, welcome to the party!!

Here's some pics, I might post some video of Miscavige's "speech," but I think he even put my camera to sleep. And I won't even mention what their "band" did to the Beach Boys (trying to push the OC theme). Oh, the horror!!

It was an interesting protest to say the least... I walked up the street and right into the entrance only to be grabbed from behind by PAC security Odo Huber, who called over a smug cop who informed I was not welcome there, and ordered me to leave the same way I came. I spoke to a police sergeant nearby & he politely said I could walk down the street out of the "private area" reserved by the cult.

Two gruff cops decided we were to be contained in a small area and not be allowed to walk across the street on a public sidewalk... Tory & I took exception to this and she tried to cross only to be physically blocked by police. Later, a very polite police sergeant spoke to us and reversed the orders of the first 2 cops...

Tory, Casper, and I walked freely across the street... the cop I argued with earlier, Officer Matt Craig, was observably chagrined.

That being the case, it looks like they are not interested in proving that they are growing by leaps and bounds by inviting new public. Looks like to me they are hiding their numbers as they are predictably low.

That would be the Tustin Org - one of the few that actually has a decent amount of activity these days. Talk about killing the golden goose!!

What is striking about this event is that on the one hand it seems to be oriented toward the public/media - being out in the open air and all.
But then the media have evidently been kept out... or at least all the reports I found online are in the tone of "ridicule"

Evidently they are competely loosing out on "playing the public" at the moment... (Then again thinking back, their PR strategies struck me as goofy for as long as I can remember.)

It seems that this event-grandiose in scale as it may be- primarily serves as an internal show to keep Scientologists "believing".

What they still seem to be able to do is "support politicians financially" (e.g. Jeff Stone) , influence police departments and hire OSA investigators to attempt to intimidate people who talk.
There is probably a core of evil that won't go away as long as there are "chips on the table" as Mark Headley put it.

I just read the statements of these politicians... there seems to be absolutely 0 independent thought contained within them. All statements appear perfectly scripted.

Public officials, scripted by a cult.

Sickening highlights are imho Garden Grove Mayor William Dalton who compares Scientology to Cesar Chavez...
Lorri Galloway calls Scientology "a massive international church"... guess it's clear where she is getting her info from and what info she chooses to ignore.
And when Ms. Lourdes Gutierrez thanks Scientology for "creating healthy and safe communities in Orange County" she should probably get some info on how things are going down in Clearwater where all the Scientological "healthiness" is playing out in full.

Looks like Pauline and others had already done the job. Santa Ana only sent a Preservation society board director.

The only person that matters a symbolically is the Mayor of Garden Grove. He is probably in bed with the Moonies for votes and cults tend to support each other.
