He's no longer an executive, most of the younger staff would have no clue who he is or that he was once the President of Scientology. To prove to the staff that he is still alive when alot of the media has questioned that? Scientology staff aren't allowed to read newspapers or watch TV. The media is considered evil wogs. Why would the cult need to parade Heber around?

The memorial will be a dog & pony show & the cult will take photos of Heber with Andrea & her family, and the cult will decide which photos are released to the media, which will give them the greatest advantage in the PR arena.

Marty still hasnt disclosed the crimes, real ones, not cult crimes, that he was a witness and partner to while he served DM.

The statute of limitations has run out on the crimes that happened when Marty was there - fraud, extortions, even beatings, so there's no rush for Marty to tell those stories now. The rush is that Tom Cruise-and-his-kids are big news and this is a slow newsweek - no Olympics, no Dem or Republ. convention, no Supreme Court, many people on vacation.
