I met this cute, fit little asian guy at a gay dance party recently. We started dating. He told me a story. Years ago he attended a Sci event at Big Blue and they sent him junk mail constantly for years. He finally go them to stop by claiming he was dead and writing that on the rejected mail.

I showed him some of my videos like Stupid Things Scientologists Say. He thought what I was doing was funny.

We dated for two weeks when, unfortunately, he announced his old boyfriend was coming back to America to move in with him. Why did he start dating me if he knew this guy was coming back? Oh well.

But on our last date he told me that he had suddenly begun getting Scientology junk mail again. I told him this was almost certainly not a coincidence. And it happened within two weeks of calling me on the phone.

It seems that the Scientologists are STILL keeping a close watch on my cell phone call list.

AGP, please, be honest with us -- did you give his phone # to CoS registrars because you wanted a revenge?

There have been stories that when people break up one of the parties puts the other one on the sci junk mail list. A condition that lasts beyond the grave.

It's more my style to see these people out in public later and hiss at them in a voice only loud enough for them to hear. I always say something enturbulating. Some like "I see AIDS is continuing to destroy your face."

I got "played?" After dating a guy three times? That's not much of a game. Gay men in West Hollywood are not sophisticated enough to be game players. They just run away from happiness whenever they can and right into the arms of STDs and crystal meth. Blech!

Seriously though, you're talking about wiretapping, which is a FELONY. It takes a lot of time and trouble to do what you are claiming they are doing, and the consequences should they be caught are tremendous.

What makes you so interesting to them that your speed dial list is worth their time and trouble, and the risks involved?

Or are you attempting to attribute to them the power to arbitrarily tap someone's phone, just because someone you hooked up with started getting more junk mail from them?

See, once I fell in love with this fellow artist. It was a mismatch. I was a Disney animator and he painted the pets of rich people in styles ripped off from other artists. Do you want your cat done as a matisse or a warhol? I asked him why he only painted pets. "Because the pets don't say I make them look fat!"

I fell for him. I didn't care if AIDS had ruined his face. I offered to help him improve his lousy website. He refused. I told him I loved him. He murmured nervously. He came from a mess of a family. Hid dad was a closeted homosexual military chaplain with major issues. One day he came home and found his father in bed with his own boyfriend.

So one day I walked in and he said "I'm not going to see you any more. I'm going back with my old boyfriend who is an accountant. He doesn't make much money and his life is boring but he tells me what to do and I like that."

So you see, I'm not so nasty after all. Meanwhile to this day that guys website is barely improved, he's probably broken up with that accountant, and his life is still a mess. I could have made a difference. I went on to win an Emmy for Spielberg and he went back to copying the old masters and tracing photographs of pets onto them. You can see the part of the painting that is directly traced by examining the pic below. Oh well. NEXT!

Oh I doubt it is an actual wiretap which gives a real time record of what I am saying on the phone. They don't go to that trouble I'm no where near important enough. (Katie Holmes is.)

No instead they are probably watching my cell phone call list. Every day or week or month one of their agents checks out who I have been calling. This is an excellent way to find out who other anonymous protesters are. Why try to hunt somebody down when you can just check out the call lists of protesters like me or AnonOrange.

This is why I have never called protester Gymbo on the phone.

How do they get this info? They hire private detectives with experience in phone security. My phone provicer is Sprint. When a job opening in the phone security division of Sprint comes up the cultists send their spy in for the interview. When the spy gets the job they are now in the position to have access to security info about customers.

Sprint thinks they are just paying this person to do security work, and they are. But the Sci's are also paying this person to snoop on whoever they want and the spy takes home two paychecks. I would think there would be a very low risk of getting caught.

More important protesters get heavy handed treatment. Mike RInder and Marty Rathbun could not figure out how the cults PI's kept finding them. Then they deliberately left their cell phones in a building and snuck out. The PI's kept circling the building. That's when they knew their cell phones were being tracked in real time.

Does that sound plausible?

What you are describing is still illegal.

It also doesn't answer why you would be so interesting to them, or why they would tip their hand by sending someone close to you a bunch of promo.

I've no doubt that they are engaging in every manner of illegal action against people they consider a threat.

If they've got security moles in phone companies, which is highly likely, they probably just take what opportunity brings to them, in addition to what they consider high value targets.

Precisely, but I doubt they'd risk wiretapping because of the ramifications. One has to remember that every public Scientologist in the working world owes it's allegiances to the Church first, the wog world second. I have known Scientologists violate workplace confidentiality agreements because when OSA comes calling, your answer better be "yes sir, anything you ask, sir" or their status in the church is at risk.

There are publics working in computer companies (Earthlink), telephone companies (AT&T), police departments (LAPD & LASD) and credit reporting agencies (Experian). If OSA needs an unlisted telephone number of someone, identification of someone owning a license plate, a credit report, or a person's employer, it is easily within the reach of OSA.

So in other words this group of incompetent nincompoops is to be feared?

I'm supposed to go around being afraid that they are spying on me because they have agents everywhere...

Scientology is a group of LOSERS. They can be nasty at times, but that is no reason to give them any respect or to consider them as anything other than a bunch of walking failures. They're not worthy of fear, only ridicule. They're proof that people don't have to smoke crack or stick needles in their arms to be completely and utterly worthless.

They are a nuisance, not a threat, and an amusing one at that.
