Paul Nelson Paquette, Jr. - June 8, 1950 - August 2, 2012

Paul Nelson Paquette, Jr., 62, of Arcadia, California, passed away on August 2nd, 2012. Paul was born June 8, 1950, the eldest son of Paul, Sr. and Ava (Matthews) Paquette.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ava, his children, Ehren, Naomi, Adam, and Aaron, his grandsons Tyler and Cashie, his mother and remaining five brothers and three sisters.

Paul was a hard-working man who put himself through college and then through Loyola Law School, all while working full-time as an auto mechanic. His passion for cars was matched only by his enthusiasm as a civil trial attorney, first in private practice and then as an attorney for the City of Los Angeles.

He was much beloved as a husband, father, grandfather, trial lawyer, mentor and car enthusiast. He touched the lives of every person who knew him, from the newly admitted green lawyers he loved to mentor, to the most seasoned of opposing counsel and judges. He will be very much missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of Paul's life will be held at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, 301 N. Baldwin Ave., Arcadia, CA on Friday, August 17, 2012 between the hours of 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.

I have a hard time keeping track of which cult attorneys are actually clams or just hired guns.

From comments I'm assuming Ava, and her deceased husband, are/were Scientologists? Wonder if his services are being held at arboretum because most of the legal community wouldn't darken the door of the celebrity center or other cult locale? Curious if some Scio will give the old LRH "we gotta make up something for funerals though we'd like to sell the fiction OTs are invincible" sermon?
