I love how they say that there are pages on the site the describe how Scientologists should be killed. That's the most outrageous thing I've ever read. If they read the site they'll see the exact opposite.

This was tried on me when I worked for Navy Pier in Chicago as Security/First Aid Responder.

Someone called the Director of Security and 'let it slip' that I was under investigation for child molestation. The Director of Security told them that he was a retired police officer and wanted to know they name and badge number. At this point the caller hung up. Bill told me years later that he laughed at the whole idea.

This is nothing new for this fun happy good-time loving cult. Remember old LRH told em to make it rough all the way.

I had a newspaper subscription, and I investigated and documented Scientology's close association.

$cientology sayeth: wiping out all religions and their primary method is harassing and intimidating parishioners and ministers until they fear for their safety.

How the hell do you type so much so quickly? My wrists would kill me if I wrote as much in my posts as you do.

I find all this quite fascinating though (and scary) that a group would go to such bizarre lengths to discredit someone just for not believing what they do. But then again we see it in politics all the time. But this is a so-called "religion" doing this. Just makes no sense.

The recent accusations against Andreas Heldal-Lund are completely without merit.

I have read every thread on the Operation Clambake Message Board (OCMB), unofficially monitoring the entire message board for seven years, scolding people who even make jokes about violence, and they back off immediately. The people who outright advocate violence or vandalism have been harshly criticized immediately and repeatedly by regular critics and they always stop in embarassment or exhaustion. I challenge CoS to find a single instance on this board when someone has advocated violence and found silence or acceptance. Always the violence-advocate finds a hailstorm of criticism.

Another regular poster, nicknamed Merlin, officially moderates one area called "Opinions and Debates - Moderated." This area goes beyond stopping talk of violence; In this area people are obliged to be more considerate and abstain from personal attacks. Many posters have found OCMB to be far more civil than other message boards.

The OCMB has also deplored vandalism against any building. I have even cautioned against leaving notices taped against the organizations's door, calling it trespassing. The board overall encourages legal picketing, free speech, and nothing illegal.

The Operation Clambake Message Board is open to all in support of free speech. Several controversial posters do speak here, and there is lively and open debate. Andreas is not "associating" as some kind of pal on the Message Board; his posts are rare, short and generally stick to the facts. The message board is its own imperfect but self-policing community; it is not "run" by Andreas.

The copyrighted materials are fair use quotes, and Andreas has challenged CoS to oppose him in court. Knowing they would lose, they have always declined.

The overall site www.xenu.net has provided useful information and a forum to many people like myself, whose family was torn apart by Scientology, and Andreas has run it with calmness, fairness and intelligence.

I feel no particular need to repeatedly publicly defend myself against every false claim the cult and others make up against me. Once in a while I will however give a little summary reply. The state church celebrated 1000 years in Norway in 1995. We made a small picket to mark that Christianity was introduced with swords 1000 years ago. People who refused to convert then were tortured in the worst way. The state only celebrated the event by remembering the nice stuff, we thought that was bad taste. The peaceful picket stopped immediately when the police came and told us to stop. We voluntarily left and later got a small fine for picketing without a permit.

I have never been arrested in my life, never been in a prison or police cell, never even had handcuffs on or gotten a speeding ticket. And I've been driving a lot in my life, even coast to coast US.
