Edited 1965 Michelle Stafford entry for her exit from The Young and the Restless. 1971 Denice Duff had already quit the show, but 1971 Sharon Case remains on the show with the ex-Scientologist Michael Fairman.

Updated 1986 Jordan Masterson (actor and 1976 Danny Masterson's half-brother) to show he is in a long-term relationship with Dakota Johnson, star of upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey, but she is not known to be a Scientologist.

A rough guess about how many of these are active Scientologists?

I bet many aren't active and wish they'd never joined, but they fear disconnection from friends, family and their career network. But, I follow gossip sites and if a reputable source says they are out, I immediately take them off my list; on page 1 of this thread, after the 1990's born celebrities, I have a list of deceased and ex-Scientologists.
Some, like rising fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff, never seem to promote CoS, but her parents, brother, husband, business partners, and many friends are CoS members (even if some are barely active second-generation, they still dare not criticize Scientology). The list show the tangle many are in, and highlights key people at the center of the tangled webs, especially CoS event headliners and recruiters like Anne Archer, Jim Meskimen, and Danny Masterson. I do note those members who are "very active," like Jenna Elfman and Nancy Cartwright, I note those who aren't "biggies" but have done something for CoS lately, and I note others that seem inactive, never mentioning Scientology or attending events. If a family member has no CoS completions or shilling or event attendance, I note that (unnamed) "son (or daughter or spouse) has no completions."

Some of the children and grandchildren of these celebrities may not know their own (disconnected) grandparent's full name. If they Google themselves and find this site, maybe they can contact that grandparent.

This is a most impressive list, and interesting in lots of ways. For one thing I imagine the spider makes a lot of money out of it. Most of his money maybe.

But you don't list several million names. it's not more than a few thousand, or even hundreds, at a guess. If you count in all those who are even marginally involved or connected with CoS or aren't active but haven't said they are out, how many of these 'celebrities' are there? And is the number shrinking or growing?

I believe my list has about 500-600 names, including Scientologists who have been in the news, and their less famed Scientologist family and connections. That's the size of ONE typical Protestant church, which has expenses of:
one church building,
salary for a minister and an assistant minister,
part-time salaries for
- youth/Sunday School leader
- bookkeeper
- janitor/groundskeeper,
- organist / choir director.
Compare that to the bloated and grasping CoS management.

I like it. Enough to fill the pews once a week at a rather small Protestant church!

It makes the estimate of 25,000 Scientologists in the USA seem a bit high.

Noted donations by already-named CoS members, at Valley org fundraiser in Sept 2013:
VERY HIGHLY COMMENDED
1991 Jack Murphy (son of Nancy Cartwright)
Bill and Debbie Suplee (parents of 1970 Ethan Suplee)
Marisol, Taron and Rain (1973 Marisol Nichols and 1984 Taron Lexton)
Arwen D (probably Arwen Dayton, wife of 1971 Sky Dayton)
Juliette L (probably 1973 Juliette Lewis)
Brandy L (probably 1975 Brandy Lewis, wife of Ethan Suplee)
1965 Denice Duff and 1962 Michael Duff
1951 Maryann O'Donnell, wife of EarthLink founder 1950 Kevin O'Donnell
1948 Raven Kane and 1948 David Campbell, stepmother and father to 1970 Beck
1982 Jason Dohring and wife Lauren
HIGHLY COMMENDED
Nancy (probably 1957 Nancy Cartwright)
Kirstie (probably 1951 Kirstie Alley)
1961 Andrea Doven
True (might be son of 1951 Kirstie Alley)
Lilly (might be daughter of 1951 Kirstie Alley)
Bodhi (1969 Bodhi Elfman, husband of Jenna Elfman)
1945 Sisu Raiken
1979 Patrick Renna
CoS's list of above names reported by Tony Ortega at http://tonyortega.org/wp-content/upload ... mmends.jpg

My comment: It is situations like this where the Spiderweb is most helpful; I can just search it for "True," and the only "True" on the list is Kirstie Alley's son.
