Several owners of small companies who used The Management Series up to the letter run their companies to the ground. When Loretta learned about that she took five online management courses offered by Washington University, and begun using the material that she learned in the Scientology business world. As long as she was successful the company owners didn't care where her knowledge comes from. This is business after all, everything that produces good results is accepted here.

Loretta was making decent money as a consultant. Two years passed by, shortly after her 18-th birthday she left WISE and reapplied to MIT. She was accepted and moved to Mas where she begun taking undergraduate Chemical Engineering courses. After getting BS in Chemical Engineering she begun working of her MS in Chemistry.

Laura's fate was different than the one of her sister -- Milly sold her to the Ship Org. I will describe her travails at the upcoming posts.

Before Laura left for Freewinds she got a present from Linda, it was the textbook with general schematics of ship's engine room. "If your lucky you'll get a job at the engine room. Learn everything they teach you and then some, it might be useful in your post-Scientology life," said Linda.

This book prompted Laura to begin working on her escape plan. She knew that if she returns back to the USA her Mom will sent her back to the ship, so she had a different escape route in mind. She was lucky, she was assigned to the engine room right after her arrival to Freewinds.

Laura begun her hard work at the engine room. She was learning a lot on her own, the book turned out to be very helpful to her. Sea Org stuff are required to take courses based on The Management Series. Due to her very busy schedule and her hate of Scientology Laura was skipping the courses. Her bosses didn't care about Laura's so called study, they preferred her staying at the work place, so no one was ordering her to go to the classroom.

All new ship crew members get their cellphones confiscated. Dave knew that so he gave Laura two cellphones, one was in her luggage on top of the clothing and the other one in a secret compartment of her carryon. As expected, the guards confiscated one cellphone and the thought of a secret compartment never crossed their mind.

Dave and Laura communicated sporadically, Laura was very careful and made sure that no one knew about her cellphone.

During their second conversation Laura told her farther that Freewids is, essentially, a cargo ship, there is no OT folk on it although there are several OT auditors. Dave was very interested in the ship's status because CoS is not allowed to make money because of its tax-exempt status.

Dave had full access to the CoS database, so it was easy for him to find out what is going on with the ship.

Freewinds is registered in Panama, technically speaking, CoS is not its owner, it is owned by independent company, the ship crew are listed as employees of that company. This a scam that almost all American ship owners use in order to avoid the USA labor laws. In CoS case this scheme allows the cult avoid IRS scrutiny.

Meanwhile Laura was polishing her Spanish skills. Her two favorite subjects in the school were math and Spanish. She was a straight A student in these subjects, her Spanish was very good but now she wanted to become fluent in it and speak with Mexican accent. There were two Mexican Scientologists working in the engine room, Laura was communicating in Spanish with them. Excellent knowledge of Spanish was a part of her escape plan.

When Freewinds crew are on liberty they are not allowed to walk alone, they form groups in order to prevent unfaithful members from escape.

On her first trip ashore Laura was accompanied by two girls in their 20-th, Naomi and Mary. The girls looked sad, Naomi was often wiping out her tears. They walked in silence for the first 20 minutes, then Naomi said, "This is our first time without our friend."' "What happened to her?" said Laura. "She fell to her death to the cargo hold," said Naomi. "There must be safety rules, " said Laura. "They do not care about us, here we are nobody," said Mary and cried openly. "They gave her a sea burial because they didn't want to contaminate the ship, so they said. But the ship was docked in Bahamas at that time," said Naomi. "I guess they didn't want to pay for the transportation," said Laura. "You're right. What is most apaulling is that Lisa's Mom said she doesn't want a normal burial because she doesn't have money to pay for that, "said Naomi. "Sea Org staff are poor," said Laura. "Anyone who joins SO on their free will is an idiot," said Mary.

The girls fell silent after this brief conversation until they reached a café. "Let's have some pastries," said Naomi. The pastries were expensive and so was the Turkish coffee but the girls didn't seem to care about the money, they kept asking the waiter for more. Two Panama men entered the cafe, one of them was carrying a large bag. The men sat at the girls' table. Mary said in broken Spanish, " Ahora no. Lisa muerta. Nueva chica," ( Not now. Lisa is dead. We have a new girl) and pointed at Laura. The men got up and left the café. "What did they want?" said Laura. "All men want the same, they were hitting on us." said Mary. But Laura knew that her new friend was not telling the truth.

Naomi and Mary joined Sea Org after graduating Delphi; it was their parents' choice to send them to the damned ship, as they called it. The girls peppered Laura with questions about the USA educational system, apparently they felt that the Delphi education was woefully inadequate. Laura told them everything she knew about the higher education system and her sister's predicament regarding her acceptance at MIT. "The Scientology education is totally fucked-up," said Laura. "You are not a Scientologist, are you?" said Naomi. "No one takes this Hubbard shit seriously except for the Scientologists," said Laura. "Tell us everything that you heard about this shit," said Mary. "You can see it with your own eyes, " said Laura.

Laura used her iPhone to show the girls Wikipedia articles about LRH and CoS. The girls were stunned by what they read. "I thought that something is wrong with Scientology, but i didn't know that it is one big LRH hallucination, " said Mary after 10 hours of reading of anti-Scientology articles. "We should get off the ship as fast as we can. Unfortunately, we cannot do that," said Naomi. "Why not?" said Laura. "My Dad told us that if we escape the ship the OSA agents will find us and bring us back," said Mary. "Bullshit. You both are over 18, no one can hold you against the will, this is the law, " said Laura. "What about you?" said Naomi. "THey can bring me back because i am only 14. But i have my own plan how to escape this prison well before i am 18," said Laura.

After that the conversation turned in a different direction. "What about stealing the money from CoS? would you do that?" said Naomi. "Stealing is bad. However, we have an excuse, we are hear against our will, " said Laura. "What about using the ship to smuggle drugs into different countries?" said Mary. "What kind of drugs?" said Laura. "Mostly marijuana, but sometimes cocaine," said Mary. "My Dad says that marijuana should be legalized. But i would have to think about cocaine, " said Laura, she had a pretty good idea where the conversation was going; she knew that the girls were loaded with money, and now they were getting close to revealing their source of income. "You have 3 days to make the decision," said Naomi.

It took Laura two hours to make up her mind. "I'll help you with marijuana, but i do not want to get involved in the cocaine trade, " she told the girls. "Fair enough, you want soil your hands with the cocaine, we have different suppliers for both drugs," said Naomi. "How good is your Spanish?" said Mary. "It is almost perfect," said Laura. "Excellent," said Naomi. "Who is in charge?" said Lara. "I am," said Naomi.
