The thin lady with the black pixie-cut hair with DM is Laurisse Stuckenbrock ("Lou"), his "Communicator." Shelly of course nowhere to be seen. In some of the shots released from this event, you also see Yvonne Gonzalves, a heavy-set brunette with shoulder-length hair. She's DM's driver - has been for 10 years or so.

One wonders how DM explains to Tom Cruise the absence of Shelly - and the presence of Lou?

I doubt that Stoner (or Valentino Rossi, for that matter) are at all interested in joining a cult. They're very highly paid (Rossi reportedly makes $30 mil a year, and is a huge international superstar in his own right) to gladhand the right people. They also have their own handlers, as well as a traveling hospital and doctors who look after their health and ongoing injuries, and I'm certain that Ducati/Marlboro (Stoner's team sponsors) and Fiat/Yamaha (Rossi's) would go ballistic if they started showing interest in the cult.

I was at the US Grand Prix this weekend, and heard many people very PO'ed that the first couple of the Scilon empire got the paddock area closed to autograph hounds. There were lots of grumbles about Xenu and the cult.
