In the seventies a book by Hubbard came out called Mission into Time. This was ostensibly about Hubbard skulking about the coast of the Mediterranean verifying his past lives in that area by identifying a number of "targets."

What the book doesn't say is that the real reason for the exercise was to find the gold that was hidden at those "targets." I have that from three independent sources so to those scientologists about to jump in and attempt to "dead agent" what I just revealed, go eat some corn flakes.

Recently there was a post here saying that Hubbard liked to convert his money into gold and other things of negotiable value.

This is speculation but it came to me that ole Hubb must have dramatized his past life obsession at hiding away his wealth so that he can come back later and recover it.

One can purchase small entropy resistant containers at most business supply outlets. Three to five pounds (1.5 to 2 kg) of gold do not take up much space.

I speculate that Hubb hid little caches of valuables wherever he went. They would be in places that are accessible to anyone and where digging would not be frowned upon. They would be near landmarks that are likely to remain in place for a very long time. Hubb would not have told anyone about them. I mean why tell a little pissant like Davey about something he intended to pick up in a future lifetime?

This is all speculation but there are those of you participating on this message board who may have a very good idea of where Hubb may have put some his little hoards if he did behave in that way. If my speculation proves to be true, better you than Hubb's revenant.

Perhaps the LRH hidden treasure locations could be a theme for the next picketing event. At a minimum, a really good story with a link to the hidden treasure map would make an excellent opportunity for a rickroll.

Didn't Blubbard stash a bunch of money in numbered Swiss bank accounts, with the intent on picking up the money next lifetime?

My scientology friends used a metal detector and actually
went searching for Hubbard's stash.

The result will be a King Arthur like story ... instead of attempting to withdraw the sword from the rock, interestingly enough named Excalibur, there will be a line of people using an emeter attempting to withdraw account numbers from their past track recall.

And I'm sure it was done with the idea of keeping Ron's money safe for his return, right?

They totally had the wrong idea! If they really wanted to find Hubbard's stash they should have been using a drug dog. At least then they would have stood a real chance at finding something!!!!

A pound of gold (approx 16 oz.) is about 1.5 cubic inches by volume and is worth about $14000 on today's market. Four pounds of gold would take up a similar volume to a Rubik's cube. I can see Hubb taking a walk in downtown New York with his brief case under his arm and his mangy long hair flowing out behind him as he travels to a spot in say, Central Park, and hides a small object wrapped in oil cloth or in a small container. I can see him doing something like this in many places with the idea that he will come back at a later time and retrieve his wealth. At the same time if someone finds one of his deposits, so what, there are many more out there. If he was in the Mediterranean looking for gold that he presumably hid there in earlier life times then it would be in his nature to do just that with some of his current wealth. That's my speculation.

If he has done that, he would have put his gold in places that are publicly accessible, unlikely to be developed and that have identifying landmarks nearby that will likely be around for a long time. As well, if he did something like that he kept the information about it to himself. Again this is all speculation.

I will add this. I was right about predicting Japanese military personnel who thought World War II was still going on would be found on islands in the Pacific in the sixties.

Creston?

It seems to me that he was only obsessed with the "bring me suitcases of cash" thing during the last several years of his life, and he was a fugitive during all of that period. If he dropped any at sea, it's gone forever. To the best of my recall, that leaves a brief stay in the southeastern US, followed by several years in California. Because he probably had little time alone during most of that, the Creston area's my best guess.

Wasn't Hubbard accompanied by his "Messengers" when he walked around?

If he hid gold in a park, he would need a shovel to dig deep enough, and that would attract attention. If it was near the surface, if the ground froze and thawed, the gold could be pushed to the surface. Even if he hid gold a couple of feet down, people with metal detectors , that often search in parks, could have found it.

But hey, it's fun to look and maybe you'll find someone else's buried treasure!

Why would a scientologist need to use a metal detector?
Hubbard says the E-meter can be used to find things.

The real gold could be made selling maps to Hubbard's buried treasure to the faithful.
