“He has very clear principles that guide him,” Lauritzen said, including a belief in low taxes, personal freedom, and more effective government...On the other hand, “he understands sometimes give-and-take is necessary,” he said.
Yes, well, you see, Jeff Stone stands for, ahh, very strongly for his principles, except of course when give and take is necessary. For example, he is against raising taxes and that is why he has given his sister $330,000 in
campaign contributions to
work as a
volunteer. This is a clear indication that Jeff Stone is willing to
take campaign contributions and
give $330,000 of them to a family member to enable her to
work as a
volunteer. Those sort of strong, clear, and unambivalent, or perhaps non-ambivalent, I'm not certain which form of the word is correct, but nevertheless Jeff Stone clearly stands for paying family to volunteer and this great country of ours is all about protecting the family.
Jeff Stone stands for family, his in particular. That is clear and moral. However, the County pays for the gas and the car because Sis is already working so hard as a volunteer you see. You can't expect her to fill the tank on her own money that comes from Jeff's campaign contributions. There are clear moral lines here. Taxpayer money should be spent on the gas and car as part of that "give-and-take" for which Jeff Stone is known.
