Woo hoo, so glad Leah Remini is going for it and telling the world about Scientology. Presumably there will be lots of reviews and interviews to go with her upcoming memoir "Troublemaker." So excited.

Since her very public defection from Scientology (a story broken here at the Underground Bunker in July 2013), Leah has worked hard to raise her profile, appearing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and then in her own reality series, It’s All Relative. Along the way, she’s talked about leaving Scientology, but in largely vague terms.

What she hasn’t said, but has held back for her book, are the really amazing details about her long process of disaffection from Scientology that we first detailed here at the Bunker. They include a spectacular scene in 2006 at the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in a castle outside Rome, which included Leah daring to ask why Scientology’s leader, David Miscavige, was there without his wife, Shelly.

For daring to ask that question, and then following it up with a “Knowledge Report” about Miscavige, Leah was summoned to Scientology’s Flag Land Base in Clearwater, Florida, where she was subjected to three months of interrogations and behavior modification until she agreed to drop her complaint about the head of the organization. For that three months of brutal treatment, she was also billed $300,000.

"In Troublemaker, Remini, best known as the star of the popular long-running sitcom King of Queens, will detail for the first time her life growing up in the Church of Scientology and her rise to fame in Hollywood. Indoctrinated into the church as a child while living with her mother and sister in New York, Remini eventually moved to Los Angeles, where her dreams of becoming an actress and advancing Scientology’s causes grew increasingly intertwined. But when she began to raise questions about some of the church’s actions, she found herself a target, which led to her — and her family’s — break from the church. Bold, brash, and bravely confessional, Troublemaker chronicles Leah Remini’s remarkable journey toward emotional and spiritual freedom, both for herself and for her family."

...

At the time, the church declined to comment on her departure, saying in a statement that it “respects the privacy of parishioners and has no comment about any individual Church member." But other well-known Scientologists were more forthright. On the Howard Stern Show, Kirstie Alley called her a “bigot” for saying she was shunned by former Scientology friends for leaving the church.

RadarOnline.com has learned that Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology, will hit shelves on November 3.

Remini’s book will expose the never-before-told details about her fallout from the once-powerful Hollywood church and the reasons behind her very public split with the institution.

According to Scientology critic Tony Ortega, she’ll even spill on the “spectacular scene in 2006 at the wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes in a castle outside Rome, which included Leah daring to ask why Scientology’s leader, David Miscavige, was there without his wife, Shelly.”

Wow! In a way this is even worse than Jenna Miscavige's book BEYOND BELIEF which was a great insider story. But nobody knew who Jenna was before that.

Remini is well known so she has a big marketing/PR bump because of this. Spending years marketing herself as a pinup doesn't hurt since sex always sells.

Still blows my mind.
A religion invented by a science fiction writer based on the character Xenu, the dictator of the "Galactic Confederacy" who 75 million years ago brought billions of his people to Earth (then known as "Teegeeack") in a DC-8-like spacecraft, stacked them around volcanoes, and killed them with hydrogen bombs. Official Scientology scriptures hold that the thetans (immortal spirits) of these aliens adhere to humans, causing spiritual harm.
It just goes to show you, there really is a sucker born every minute.

Wow. I grew up knowing her around the big blue building in LA during the 80's. She was the only kid I knew then who made an effort to become something - and she did. Her step-brother Shane was my best friend back then. I also escaped from Scientology. I was born into it, my father was Hubbard's personal secretary in the mid 1960's.

Let's hope Leah starts a book tour around November 3. That's only four days after Tony Ortega's final book tour event, Oct. 30 in Perth, Australia.
Louis Theroux will be doing interviews for My Scientology Movie which premieres Oct. 14.
The live-blogging fun doesn't stop.

Leah Remini Is About To Expose Tom Cruise, Or Something, dlisted.com, Oct. 26, 2015, http://dlisted.com/2015/10/26/leah-remi ... something/

No news, but heavy snark and humor, for example,
barley-infused alien bullshit...
Late-night comedians and daytime talk shows will be scrambling for interviews with Leah and Tony Ortega, and joke-writers will compete for the best Tom Cruise-and-Xenu zingers.

THE LEAH REMINI FILES: AN EXCLUSIVE LOOK AT THE ‘KRs’ THAT INFORM HER MEMOIR, by Tony Ortega, The Underground Bunker, Oct. 27, 2015, http://tonyortega.org/2015/10/27/the-le ... er-memoir/

A high-level exec leaked to Tony Ortega, the cranky knowledge reports celebs and Sea Org execs wrote on each other, from the Tom Cruise wedding.

In reader comments, ze moo said
...There were 51 news stories about Leah Remini yesterday, and many more I am sure I didn't find. This is the golden age of clam reporting. How can they sell a mystery sandwich, if everyone knows its full of bologna?
My comment: Jennifer Lopez, are you remaining silent on this juicy story, due to fear of your father disconnecting? You're friends with Leah, so CoS hates you anyway. Tell us your side of the story - I bet CoS doesn't have the guts to make your father disconnect!

I don't think that Jennifer Lopez is a Scientologist, but I know that her dad is. She said that she respects his religion, but beyond that she said nothing.

Just saw on Good Morning America that Katie Holmes has a response to Leah Remini tonight. That should be interesting.

Edit: Whoa, my opinion of Katie Holmes just skyrocketed. I thought she would say something about how rude Leah Remini was--but NO WAY! Here's the latest:
Despite ABC News' reports to the contrary, Katie Holmes declined to be interview for Leah Remini's 20/20 special. Holmes' rep has released a statement regarding Remini's interview, saying, "I regret having upset Leah in the past and wish her only the best in the future."
