Mike Spurgeon, now Lt. Commanding Officer of the Canadian Sea Org Base was listed in 2008 as the FB Action Aide in this ESMB post.

Many thanks, as always, to the people who generously send us their mail.

Is that a crop circle or is Canada getting the runaround program?

This recent Impact article includes renderings for the future AOSH Canada and discusses some uses planned for the compound.

With three Ideal Orgs secured, including one under construction, and the rest of the continent working for their Ideal Org buildings, Canada is well on its way to creating an entire continent of Ideal Orgs. And when they reach their target, what will stand atop The Bridge in the True North is the Advanced Organization and Saint Hill Canada.

Though only an hour's drive from Canada's Continental Org in Toronto, or a half-hour drive from Pearson International Airport, it will feel like it is a thousand miles away in untrammeled Ontario wilderness. Canada's new Advanced Org will be established in what was once a legendary retreat, long the destination for cosmopolitan Canadians who wanted to reconnect with their pioneer roots, if only by strapping on skis and hitting the slopes.

It is the ideal home for our new Sea Org base and Advanced Org Canada and where Canadians will move through the ultimate frontier of OT. Located on 190 tree-covered acres, its buildings comprise 159,000 square feet. Once it has been given the full Ideal Advanced Org design treatment, every inch will not only spell "rustic lodge," but will say "Welcome home" to all Canadian Clears and pre-OTs.

Solo auditors will embark on the upper levels in AO Canada's spacious Advanced Courses course room and then move on to the Advanced Org HGC. From the HGC, preclears and pre-OTs will have a picture-perfect view of the Canadian wilderness in all its natural splendor as they journey through the advanced realms. The Advanced Org is being built for high capacity, with more than 50 beautifully designed auditing rooms, where it is unlikely anyone will answer anything but a definitive "yes" to the question, "Is this room all right with you?"

Today the path up The Bridge is cleared for all to travel, thanks to the study of The Basics, and a new breed of educated Scientologist is now ascending to the top of The Bridge. Accordingly, the AO bookstore, in and of itself, will say Golden Age of Knowledge and is where students and pre-OTs will be able to purchase their materials in whatever language they need.

Canadian OTs will be driving their continental OT boom from the AO conference center. Here Canadian OT Committee members will gather to set their targets and guide still more up the lower Bridge to OT.

The future Hubbard Guidance Center, auditing rooms and the AO bookstore will make Canadians feel at home while they travel The Bridge to OT.

THE PAVILION

At the hub of the property is the Pavilion, originally designed as an event venue, and this is how it will be used following full renovation. The ground floor will house the Public Information Displays, and corresponding offices for field activation.

In the Pavilion's auditorium, Canadian Scientologists will convene for weekly graduations, briefings and OT Conventions, not to mention the full calendar of international events. Also located in the Pavilion will be the Maple Leaf Cafe, where students and preclears can keep their rudiments in as they travel The Bridge to OT.

THE MAPLE LEAF

The Maple Leaf Hotel religious retreat, located on the property just minutes from the Advanced Org and Pavilion, is expressly designed to accommodate Canadians whether they are there for the weekend or staying longer term while intensively trekking the higher OT levels. Each future guest room and suite will be prepared for solo auditing, with the comfort factor raised and physical universe distractions reduced.

The restaurant will feature a full range of Canadian dishes, from Vancouver's lumberjack breakfasts to Quebec's steam dogs and croque-monsieur.

CONTINENTAL LIAISON OFFICE CANADA

To cut wide the trail for all to arrive at OT, there is one more vital component to the equation: the new Continental Liaison Office Canada. From here Sea Org members will drive expansion across every province and territory, so as to provide the means by which all Canadians can move up The Bridge and make it to OT.

The future Continental Training Org will train executive teams to helm the Ideal Orgs of today and tomorrow. Since clearing takes the coordinated advance of all sectors, the CLO will also guide the programs for ABLE, WISE, SMI, and I HELP'S field auditors from the Northwest Passage to Niagara Falls. While to bring the tech to the entire nation in both official languages, English and French, this CLO will also have an on-site office for Golden Era Productions, complete with a built-in recording studio for bilingual translations.

THE LRH OFFICE

Situated at the heart of the new Canadian OT base will be the office for L. Ron Hubbard, standing in tribute to his vision of a future that extended well beyond the great outdoors and straight on up to the stars.

Uh oh, looks like they got an answer:)

“We need people who are tough and dedicated ………If you have the guts, dedication and purpose then we have a place on the team....”

I am tough.

I am dedicated.

I have guts, dedication and purpose.

And in my arms, what is in your heart (good or bad) is magnified thousands of times over.

I do not forget and I do not forgive what is ongoing.

Expect me.

I wonder if Gold Base will move here, far from California picketers. Sea Org can control their workers thoroughly here, unless there's a village nearby to run to. How are the Canadian laws about imported religious slaves? Hey, in cold weather your slaves need more calories! Put that in the Sea Org food budget!

They can thoroughly control their guests, too! Nowhere to run if you're being extorted for the next course. Yikes.

The surroundings are run-of-the-mill Canadian woods. Nothing special to any tourists from New Brunswick to Minnesota - Fall is pretty for three weeks, but soon thereafter you're freezing your butt off and shoveling snow. Ice storms make you lose power and close the roads. Bare woods six months of the year, mud season in the spring, and bugs plus endless road repair in the summer.

The roofs are wrong; they're too shallow, too Spanish-California-style, for heavy snow. It should be steep and very smooth, so you can pull down the snow with snow rakes. If you don't pull down heavy snows off the roof, you get ice dams which start to leak between the walls during a thaw. I learned this fact the hard way.

Orange roofs? Not Canadian. No lake? What's a rustic get-away without a lake? Right - all the good lake property near Toronto has been divided up and built on. This site is just an inconvenient no-view, no-fun parcel that nobody wanted.

You need a lot of bi-lingual workers who can spell and write both English and French (and French spelling is harder than English). The "real" French speakers won't like being treated like dirt by American English speakers. I predict désastre (disaster).

Perhaps the security guards will have teams of dogs to hunt down those that attempt to run.

tl;dr version. I love how they're so in touch with what Canada is really like!

Hi, Hosers. Do you want to go OT, eh? Never mind, do you have lots of money? Can we have it, eh?

If you don't have lots of money can we have you? Please give yourself and anyone else you know to the Sea Org, eh!

We have no distractions, you hosers... no TV, no phone, and we built the RPF berthing with extra-thick walls so you don't hear their anguished cries in the night! And no way to escape, eh, we're in the middle of noplace... not even Anonymous can save... ehhh... get to you from here!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Canada have rather liberal political refugee laws?

I recall an editorial claiming that illegal immigrants were abusing political asylum laws to gain entrance to Canada and then jumping into the U.S. The editorial also claimed these 'political refugees' were entitled to welfare assistance and this was being abused as well.

I have no firsthand knowledge of this, just reporting what read. If true, these lax asylum laws might assist scientology in bringing cultists in from other countries.

Anyone know about this firsthand?
