Religious Freedom Watch gone?

Post by Painter of Lite » Sat Oct 08, 2016 5:06 am

What happened to “RFW”? (RFW) is no more (apparently).

This site was a showcase of Scientolgy’s fair game practice. In the early 2000s it was a badge of honour to have your own entry on RFW because it meant you’d seriously pissed of the Church of Scientology and this was their payback. They dug up any embarrassing thing they could find on you, published the most unflattering pictures of you (usually photoshopped to make you look worse) and made you out to be a dangerous anti-religious extremist.

Hmm, the owner has the site name paid up until 2017 but they have no site! Somebody still owns it though, all this time.

AGP, RFW has a site at Wordpress, while last only updated in 2007, it still exists there. This is the link.

Very interesting. I always found RFW one of the saddest, most bizarre public displays of weirdness by Scientology. So playground childish nanner nanner namecalling etc. Just ugh.

Weirdly, Freedom Magazine no longer has the posse of lunatics issue up, either. Maybe it does have something to do with Marty.

Maybe the main moderator quit or wasn't well enough to keep it going. Scientologists seem to start a new activist/attack group rather than take over someone else's. Religious Freedom Watch was outdated, nasty, and cluttered. If outside-newbies Google Religious Freedom Watch, many posts are ripping it apart. It may have had content by people who have quit and criticized Scientology. It may have had burned out, interfering, or disgruntled workers. Any young Scientologist wouldn't know the old critics and issues. Why would they want to take over such a mess?
