Swedish MP sentenced for copyright violation of OT materials

Post by catarina » Tue Mar 27, 2001 7:41 pm

A Swedish Member of Parliament, Carina Hägg of the Social Democratic party, has today (Tuesday 27th) been sentenced in the district court of Jönköping to pay a fine and $200 in damages, plus the legal costs of RTC at $3,500. She handed in a copy (legally obtained from the Parliament) of the OT/NOTs materials to a local town library.

It's not very common for MPs to be sentenced for minor things like this. This particular MP has also openly criticized Scientology and other cults in the Parliament (especially cult schools and WISE consultant companies). I have to read the actual court decision before making any further comments.

(BTW, I have computer problems at the moment so may take a long time to answer email)
