"Being boring is the greatest sin of all"--sometimes attributed to Stanley Kubrick

I have no idea who came up with that saying, and I see how that could be applied to artists, not necessarily the general population.

I am kind of new to this, and can listen to ex-scientologists for hours.

But Hubbard himself...of the few things on YouTube of him actually talking, he just talks on and on and on and on and on and is uninteresting.

What a BORE!!!

Judging from the recent 'disconnection' recording, Tommy Davis is even more boring than Hubbard. Yappity yap yap yap. "And so on and so forth." He won't even shut up long enough to let his wife speak to agree with him. I guess lies are his "production", so he has to keep churning them out.

Hubbard did tend to ramble in his lectures.

If you were a Scientologist then they were not boring, just like when Rocky Stump (senior C/S) would talk at ASHO.

But now that I have been "out" for many years, I can see it for the unscientific BS that it is.

My list of the most boring books begins with
# 1 Green Mars
# 2 Mission Earth Volume I by Hubbard

For those in $cientology, especially staff members, Hubbard's lectures are never boring. In $cientology going past a misunderstood word, especially with Hubbard's writing and lectures, is an ethics offense. So while those in $cientology listen to the content of Hubbard's lectures they monitor themselves for yawn symptoms or any of the other so called barriers to study.

There is another aspect to Hubbard's lectures. In just about every single one to which I ever listened, Hubbard spoke in broad generalities. Speaking in broad generalities is, according to Hubbard, the number one attribute of a suppressive person. I made this connection while I was in but "not-ised" it. As well I made sure never to point this our or state it to anyone. I can't be the only person ever involved in $cientology who noticed this.

When I was watching Hubbard tapes (I watched only 2 of them) I was paying attention not to his words but to his voice -- it seemed very strange that such a large man had a high-pitched voice. I did not care about misunderstood words because I could always blame poor tape recording for them.
