I am working on a list of metrics relating to Ideal Orgs and need your help. But first, I wanted to share with you some "first pass" data, namely the Cult's published attendance figures for grand openings as given at Scientology.org. The Cult is reporting Ideal Org grand openings using generalized numbers:

1. Not Given . No attendance figure reported, or at least none I could find. This is where you could help me double-check by looking online for press releases, etc.

2. More than 1,000. This figure often includes terms such as local dignitaries, well-wishers, and friends. Not given are the numbers of Sea Org and Staff and Scientologists from other towns bussed in for the event as seat fillers.

3. "More than 1,000", "More than 1,500". "More than 2,000", "More than 2,500" .

4. Over 1600, or "Over 4000", etc. are given.

My initial spreadsheet shows claimed attendance. The attendance figures are so very low for a "global ecclesiastical leader." Pope Benedict XVI, for example, held an outdoor mass for 300,000 people when he visited Mexico City in 2012. David Miscavige only drew a claimed 7,000 people in Mexico City.

Scientology is vague about meaningful stats such as attendance at Grand Openings: Thousands attended!

However, Scientology is fanatical about giving exact and precise stats that are meaningless:

This is off the topic of the thread but the thread brought it to mind.

Published statistics are essentially proof of success. Can we agree on that? I don't care. I think they are.

Hubbard in his Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letters (HCOPLs (stuffy name for them in my opinion))
disparaged proof or demands for proof of his fantastic tech's success.

So why does Scientology bother publishing statistics as proof of success? Is it for the benefit of those members
doing their doubt and liability formulas?

When broken down and analyzed, the stat above for "Hours on OT Projects" for 2010-2011 is spectacularly unimpressive:

First, there are only 304 OT Ambassadors in a Church of 12,000,000 members, which means that OT Ambassadors are statistically insignificant at < .0003 of the Church membership.

59,780 hours divided by 304 OT's = 196.6 hours per year per each OT Ambassador

196.6 divided by 52 weeks = 3.7 hours per week per OT Ambassador, a stat as unimpressive as David Miscavige only having 1000 people show up at the opening of a new building.

The OT Committee's are a joke - I have been in several class 5 morgues and there is no one there - no new public coming in at all.

I tried to be on an OT committee and there are NO OT'S at all!! Nothing can get done because everything has to be approved by upper management - I have never in my life been part of a group that did nothing and reported they did so much. After a few years of banging my head against the wall - I refused to take part in it anymore.

The reality and the truth - There are just 1-2 people on the OT committee and they are typically on some project making amends for not being a true blue cultie - no volunteers come around! It is insane - even the oldies won't come around the morgues to "volunteer" - they are all burned out from giving everything for absolutely nothing but covert invalidation and nullification.

All of the photos the Co$ publish are just like all the other propaganda - manipulated by taking anyone in the room and asking them to pose - or making the staff pose - the gig is up Scientology - it is called propaganda and it does not work anymore - the world is hip to your criminal ways!

This is really getting old - this propaganda - I can't believe the staff keep falling for it - just utterly insane!
