Another sad week in Georgia. Having heard John Travolta has donated his worn out jet to the Georgia museum of aviation http://www.museumofaviation.org/ I find it rather odd the museum would take it. I have done film work for this museum in the past. More along the lines of military aircraft which is what is predominate @ this museum. I do still know staff there. Think I will voice my concern.

Find out what kind of tax receipt he got for his donation. They may not be at liberty to tell you, but you can ask. If the museum is government owned or otherwise connected to the state the tax receipt for a gift to it may give a better break than tax receipts from other types of such organizations.

Not everything is a conspiracy. Travolta had an airplane that probably needed hot sections in both engines (the equivalent of an overhaul for a jet) and it was going to cost more than the airframe was worth. His accountant advised him to get rid of it. He found a museum willing to take it. It's done every day.

No, you're thinking of his red-striped Boeing 707B. The airplane he's donating is seen at the top of the photo. Both seen here Travolta's Ocala-area home (Jumbolair Estates) in Florida.

Who said anything about a conspiracy???? A civilian jet donated to a military oriented museum is rather unusual. Go to Warner Robbins and have a look for yourself! It is to my understanding the jet is a GulfStream model. Gulfstream is a Georgia company.

I,ll gladly go to the air show in april and have a nose around.

Is it the same museum that applied for a Shuttle but got rejected? That Shuttle went to New York City's museum.
